I'm only here for the beer....
and maybe to learn a little something new, too.
Sometimes I just wish the world was a softer, cuddlier place. Other times, I'm the one carrying the big stick!!
I'm originally from 'daan sarf', but moved to the Midlands 20 odd years ago. Still haven't got to grips with the Brummie accent. Don't think I ever will. Still, that's not necessarily a bad thing, is it? Tolerant of most things, except abject stupidity, racism, religion and poor drivers.
Likes- red wine, beer (proper if poss, if not, then just beer), good food, knitted ties, music- most genres-, playing guitar (badly), quiz shows, rivers, funny films, horror films, stained glass (making of), the great outdoors, the great indoors, clouds, Europe, golf (playing, badly), wildlife in the garden, woods, Dartmoor, and belly-button fluff.
Dislikes- prawns, martini and lemonade, endless repeats on tv, Colin Firth, killer sudoku (wasn't it already hard enough?? Eh??), not being able to sleep, doing the washing up, and people not doing the washing up properly.
Ambition in life- to get a really, really good nights sleep. Just once.
My 42 - Mike Lindup + Phil Gould + Boon Gould + Mark King = Level 42!

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
