I've been put on premod accidentally too.
But if someone's just too disruptive, I still think it's perfectly ok that they be made to leave.

What being banned? Why would I be banned..I've no need to break the rules or argue with TPTB?
So who has been banned..A small handful who have set out to be as much of a nuisance as they can because they think the anonymity of the internet allows them to abuse and cyberbully others.
Good riddance..
Freedom of speech should not mean people are allowed to be abusive, rude, disrespectful and aggressive to others.
I also dislike people who think that being intellectually superior gives them a right to abuse others. It does not, it merely means they are rude and impolite.

Not being banned, having your postings yikesed - postings that did not break the House Rules in any way.

Postings 122 and so forth are now permanently gone The ones I saw (the last few) were fine. I wasn't aware that postings by a banned researcher (different account, obviously, but same user) were automatically removed permanently.

Happened once about 6 months ago and only because I'd quoted another yikesed post.It was reinstated and I saw the reason as being entirely reasonable when I read the email from TPTB.

Ha! Just wait until you get whole Guide Entries yikesed. Usually happens at weekends. I've lost count of how many times that cat one has been and gone.

I have had loads of posts hidden, most have been totally fair enough.
There are still a couple that rankle me tremendously even now. One post in which I spoke about how much it costs to buy illegal drugs based on my understanding.
And an election post when I opined that it was not possible to discuss elections without mentioning the personalities of the leaders and expressing that even the BBC didnt try and do this....
But on the whole, when yiksed, I have richly deserved it.

Is it just me, or is the button out of service right now? Someone just made a threat against me, which I don't take kindly to, but when I've tried to yikes it it says the page cannot be found.

I'm in alabaster, though I'll take a spin around the other skins and see if I have any luck.

Yeah, it worked in Brunel for me. So it's just down in alabaster - bit strange...

Plain was never supported anyway and I guess they're phasing out the old skins too. Funny how I can never quite think of Alabaster as 'old'.

Iago knows, I was yikesd recently in a message at my space, re-posted and continued the conversation over at facebook hootoo's loss on that occasion.
I queried it and was told an acronym that sounds similar to 'rebar' but with more 'foo' in it was tantamount to loudly swearing in church so it would remain hidden.
