>> Makes sense really. <<
No it doesn't. Oh, yes, the effect is a probable
likelihood. Cause and effect, fair enough. But
do not allow this obvious Truth to sway you into
accepting the proposition that it follows as true
then that government should deny or refuse services
to someone they deem unworthy. We are all legally
equal even if we are not all identical or agree on
lifestyles and personal habits.
First they took away the nose pickers and no one complained.
Then they took away the smokers and no one complained.
In fact many rejoiced that they would be rid of the nosepickers
and the smokers. Then the overweight (most people), the sexually
ambivalent (almost as many), the religiously affiliated (more
than can be counted on), those who raised objections to any
of the above infringements on individual liberties...

Now there is a bounty on the head of the film maker responsible for 'that' film. This in addition to the many deaths so far.

What kind of country, supposedly a 21st Century democracy, has Railway Ministers offering huge sums of money to have someone murdered?
We keep hearing it's the rural poor, the illiterate, uneducated country bumpkins who practice the more backward tenets of this religion - then you see morons like this giving the lie to that myth.
Here's the Dawkins take - http://richarddawkins.net/foundation_articles/2012/9/21/innocence-of-muslims#.UF4ecrJlSew

From the SWL link
>>Innocence of Muslims?
by Richard Dawkins posted on September 21, 2012 02:41PM GMT
Regarding the film "Innocence of Muslims?"
Snippets from Dawkins blog:
[on Muslims] ... their bigoted intransigence ...
The danger from Muslim over-reaction to trivial slights to their prophet is ... inexcusable...
... there is a sense in which Muslim intransigence is an obvious fact of life today ...
... An additional consequence of Muslim intransigence and violence ...
... It should certainly not be suppressed because of the alleged “offence” to a lot of paranoid Islamists, for whom being offended has become more or less their only occupation ...
Moreover, if the makers of the film are to be punished, it should be ... not for insulting the prophet of Islam.<<
I think this highlights application of the fundamental attribution error and incompetence in analysing media reports and islamic / muslim concerns.
He does have a few good points but he lacks the social theoretical training for analysing such situations. Schoolboy thinking in a subject far removed from his field of expertise.

Assigning a "whole country" to a reported outburst of an individual coalition member of parliament. I am sure there are a few quotes from British MPs, cabinet ministers of the coalition that could be used to taint the whole of the UK?
The reported outburst was of course reprehensible in terms of international politics but probably served an important local political purpose.

'Andrew Mitchell calls a police officer a pleb' fuss just won't go away. (And Labour are remarkably quiet on the issue. They'll give it a nudge when they need to.)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-19698141
The prime minister still believes Mr Mitchell's account. By implication then he MUST believe that the police officer in the case is lying but of course won't say so.
So how about Mr Mitchell, instead of denying what is attributed to him, issue a statement stating just what he DID say. But he won't though will he. Very soon he will be able to say that so much time has passed that he can't remember what he said - but will be able remember what he didn't say.
Oh dear.....

Ah yes, for the ultimate download.
Or upload. Full frontal interactivity!
Looks like anything is possible in these
godless pre-apopolex days.
And, yes I do want to try it.
I don't think I'd want to own one,
but I'd give it a shot.
