Catwoman was truly awful, bad doesn't even begin to describe it. It was terrible when, in the cinema I work at, people would ask you what you thought of it - I couldn't look them in the eye
As for Kill Bill 1, I loved it, prefer it to the second one.

Well, the last three films I've seen at the cinema, aided and abetted by StrangeLittleGirl) were;
Hellboy, a wonderful romp round occultism, Nazi's and big red heroes with relationship issues. Hats off to Mexican maestro Guillermo Del Toro and the wonderful Ron perlman for bringing Mike Mignola's work so successfully to the silver screen.
Hero, possibly the most beautiful film ever made. It's use of colour is fascinating and magical. Someone finally found a use for Jet Li's...limited acting skills and it has a wonderful kick ass cameo from the forgotten man of modern HK cinmea, Donnie Yen.
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Kerry Conran's wonderful saturday morning serial, lovingly rendered and pitch perfect in tone. Jude law is great as the eponymous Sky Captain, all square chin and swaggering walk, and Gwyneth paltrow great as the reporter/love interest. And Angelina Jolie does her thing with some style, and an eye-patch. We were eying up the 6' stand up sign as we came out of the cinema but figured it was too big to run away with...shame really.

Looking forward to?
Hmm - The Incredibles, Shark's Tale, House of the Flying Daggers, Resident Evil Apocaplypse, A Series of Unfortunate Events. Whatever Tim Burton does next.
Avoiding like the plague;
Bridget Jones Beyond Boredom, The Magic Roundabout, Alien vs Predictable, and probably a host of other sh*te that lacks technical merit or imagination.

Bridget Jones Beyond Boredom
Don't mention that bloody woman to me. I just *know* I'm going to be roped into a girl's night out to see it. Probably at the same time as something wonderfully violent and oriental is being shown.

Just say 'No' then. Easily enough done. practice in front of a mirror...
Oh, and I liked The Village. It was marred by Shymalyan having painted himself into a corner and trying to make everything a 'twist', but it did make me think about the central point of the movie - 'When is it acceptable for authority to lie to the populace in order to protect them from themselves or others?'

Then I incur the wrath of 'im in doors. It's all part of his 'socialisation project'. . I didn't see The Village. Worth renting?

Alien Vs Predator isn't that bad! And it really isn't that predictable either. I'm not a fan of Alien films & only liked the first Predator film so wasn't looking forward to it, but i was quietly suprised!!

Just can't bring myself to give them my money. Sorry.
The Village is worth a rent, I think. Beuatiful to look at and well acted. As i say, he'd do better to drop the twist ending thing. He's outgrown it.
