In the pilot episode of the original Star Trek William Shatner played the role of Captain Kirk whilst adopting a high as helium squeaky voice.

The front page Quote of the Day comes from this very thread. (John Bellavia has entered more than 5000 contests and never won anything)...
It's a very representative quote from this thread as it is quite useless.
I'm not sure where in this thread it is, but I have to wonder... can he...
You know...
Underwater?
I bet there's a post shortly following that states that he can't.

pffffft Posted Feb 16, 2007
Well he could...
...if it were possible...
...which it isnt...
...not physically anyway
but then we are talking philosophy and then that begs the sort of questioning like 'if a man were to vomit underwater but there was no one else underwater with him then did he really vomit'

pffffft Posted Feb 16, 2007
well a shark can, but it wouldnt know what vomit was as it has never been able to physically do it itself. it would just smell something and think 'whats that?' maybe. and meerkats. apparantly they have a very keen sense of smell. so if you got a meerkat and held in underwater and then vomited. it would know.

But I would also try and get you prosecuted for cruelty to animals... Surely making anyone or anything smell your vomit is cruel, let alone the holding under the water thing...

Now if this continues things could get very confusing!
"A man named John Bellavia has entered over 5,000 contests, and has never won anything"
I've been thinking about this chappie today. I'll have to do some Googling and find out why he is so unlucky. He can't be an internet user because, and I'm sure I speak for most of us, I manage to get constant emails telling me I've won competitions I didn't go in for!

Well hokay then, but he was in the pilot pilot episode. ho jus. And as well as the squeaky voice originally he pretended to wink and twitch every time somebody said 'Klingon'.

Mr. X ---> "Be excellent to each other. And party on, dudes!" Posted Feb 20, 2007
Captain Pike is only in two episodes of Star Trek. Once in the Pilot episode, and once in another episode where he goes back to that planet.
In the Pilot the first officer was a woman, but the producers thought this would be too controversial (at the time) and the character was dropped, making Spock the first officer.
Key: Complain about this post
