The contributor formerly known as SpinksSecret's grammar is wrong. It should be "Your contributions" not "You're contributions."
Another thing that is wrong is everything anyone tells you about Christopher Columbus:
1) He did NOT discover America.
2) He does not deserve his own national holiday (in the US):
a) He began the slave trade of Native Americans.
b) He imported tobacco into America, starting the tobacco industry.
c) He was an overall jerk, considered by anyone who's informed that he was a mean person.
Also, calling Native Americans "Indians" is WRONG. Indians live in India. Duh.
Lastly, "America" refers to North America and South America put together, NOT the United States of America.

You may have been told that the geeky kid in The Wonder Years was Marilyn Manson.
This is WRONG.

I have been told that Jimmy Cagney never said "You dirty rat", but since anything beginning "I've been told ..." is pretty dubious I'm open to correction.

you may have seen on the net a bunch of downloadable songs by Kurt cobain and Courtney love along the lines of "mrs robinson" and elena rigby, or Kurt and courtney colaberations on hold songs..THIS IS WRONG kurt never colaberated with courtney on any songs, courtney wanted kurts as far away from her musical career as possible so people would so she wouldnt be known as "the talentless woman who became famouse because she was kurts wife"
*****as a note dont download any of these songs that are supposedly colaberations beetween the late great KC and his wife because apparently some carry viruses and dont go near the apparent vids cos i read sumwere they contain links to illegal porn sites.******

Bob Holness did NOT play saxophone on the original version of the song "Baker Street." I heard him say as much on TV a few years back but people still peddle the myth!

I was told many times that you shouldn't handle a baby bird or it will be rejected by its mother.
Wrong!

Cows do not actually explode if left upside down - they just starve from the stupidity that stops them from getting upright again.

Oh, and you don't actually rub defibrillator pads together before use, but I'm sure you all know that.

That "rubbing the defibrillators together" thing...
Some lubricant should be applied to the pads to make the contact between the pad and the body conduct better. This is done by applying a small amount of lubricant from a tube onto one pad. The pads are then rubbed together to spread the lubricant in a thin film over each pad.
