People who give THEMSELF a nickname, especially an affectionate one/self-aggrandising one...

eg. My name's Sarah, but I prefer to be called Fluffy

... My name's david, but call me Crusher

...etc etc etc

For some reason the words 'smoke me a kipper' spring to mind.

'Ace'.

Nah, net handles, stage names, genuine nicknames, pseudonyms don't get my goat. It's just people who can, with a straight face, say "My name's Karen, but I prefer to be called 'princess'"

I've never met anyone who's said anything like that. If I do it certainly wouldn't become a pet hate. It would give me many hours of merriment that would!

people who say "I don't want to complain but . . . " and then complain. If you don't want to complain then shut up.

Not as funny as 'fluffy' though.

People who storm off in the opposite direction the moment their mobile starts ringing as though they are an important person receiving an important call.

People who sit in the pub texting while talking.
Have one conversation at a time.
It's just showing off.

people who insult my friends and/or use them for their own advantages.
How the words: "respect" and "manners" along with their usage have disappeared from the English language

i hate peopel who cant jus let there ex girlfriends get on with there lives
