So What brought you all to H2G2?

Hmm... I got a froopy Email from Arthur Dent... scared the crap out of me. I did a virus scan on it, waited a week to open it, and when I did I made sure to open it on a friend's computer, just to make sure
That's how I came here... I'm still not sure why they sent me it... I think it may be because I signed up on the old, old Starship Titanic sight.

I hate to say it, but I was bored on Christmas day... I had tried searching for interesting websites on Ask Jeeves but there weren't any, in desparation I went to the Microsoft search page, and found this site listed under "comedy"

I s'pose it could be... but h2g2 (HitchHiker's GuidetotheGalaxy) is a lot easier to pronounce, which is the main thing.

Hehe, that doesn't make all that much sense right there... it's a reply to Siguy's suggestion that HG2G is more logical than H2G2.

Beloved was pending hours giggling at the monitor. Fascinated by this strange behaviour in a grown man, I assumed a wifely perogative and followed his history trail. Now two grown people spend a lot of time giggling at the monitor. What is that big yellow disc is see out of the window? Is there a virtual retirement village in H2G2? I think we'll be here for a long time.

Basically I've been a Douglas Adams fan for decades. I only recently acqired a modem and internet account, so, being the being that I am, I typed Hitch Hickers Guide To The Galaxy into the search engine. Hit search, and in a flash of Improbability. Here I am. I'm the one giggling at the monitor. And I intend to stay around for a long time

I have just started Uni so now I've got free internet access, which is bliss, and one day after purchasing DNA's The Deeper Meaning of Liff, I went to www.tdv.com and stumbled upon h2g2. That book title is prophetic.

I saw the thing in .net - and, despite not being a huge fan of DNA, decided that it looked a bit of fun and good for wasting a bit of time.

Read the book, obsessed with the net, searched for Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, found you guys.
Incedently, I would like to apologise for any submissions by me that include words with spaces missing "likethis" - it's because I have to press my spacebar right in the centre to get the bloody thing to work.
