"Deja vu" is generally used to describe a feeling that something, which should have been new and unexpected, has happened before.

correcting whoever hasn't read the backlog [not pointing the finger or anything...]...
it hasn't happened before; it's only a feeling that it has happened before [well in the original meaning anyway].. like maybe dreamed of it or something...
of course if you use the other meaning then you're right and this post of mine is meaningless...

Whoever it was didn't say it had happened before, they said it was a FEELING that it had happened before. Seems about right to me.
