Not too bad. A local airline offered the trip for 1.99 Euro (plus tax of course).

From what I saw at www.lowfarejet.de you can book the trip London Hannover from the UK as well. Though you could try gojet, easyjet and what have you ...

Speaking of which, if anyone can't wait until January, and you haven't already heard, there's a mini-meet which I {and Abi} are attending at "The Head of Steam" at Euston Station, on Sat, Nov. 23rd.

I also looked at Easyjet. The fares were low, but when you add the airport taxes and train-fare from Stanstead, trip to Schiphol and separate lodgings, it added up to the same price as a package deal including the same hotel and Eurostar.
And when you look at the waitingtimes everywhere, it added up to about the same traveltime also.
So now I come by Eurostar, at high speed.
It is a strange sight 
running alongside a motorway, overtaking cars by more that 100 mph!

Hey Marjin, if you come by Eurostar you will travel through my home town - Sevenoaks. The countryside after Ashford until Sevenoaks is really pretty.

Oooh Eurostar...upgrade, its lovely, lots more room and a proper cooked meal (we got salmon and lamb...very la-di-da) both ways + free drinks (including alcohol). Plus its only about £20 extra per person (or it was) which is covered solely by the cost of the grub.
