@ Kaz (post 26): Funny, there's another bloke in Frankfurt/Germany, running around since years naked, visiting pubs, talking to people... Most of them find him a bit creepy, but nobody's calling police or anything... He's a bit annoying when he's sitting next to you in a pub, but only because he's talking LOTS of piffle...

I think a lot of it is cultural brainwashing. As a child you are taught from all sides that nudity is bad and equal to sex, and that is even worse. How can you grow up sane that way?
An anecdote in this.
A few years ago we walked from the mainland to the island of Ameland (you can do that with guides and low tide), our group was normally dressed, (T-shirt and swimming gear), backpack with dry clothes as the water may come to your armpits and the mud to your knees.
A 100 metres away was another group, that looked strange. they were all nude, except for the necessary shoes and backpack with dry clothes. Actually it was a good idea, they needed just one set of clothes! The young ones in the group found it very and kept peeping, the older ones just thought it might be a better way (except for sunburn).
Arrived on the island we had to walk a few miles back to the boat along the beach, and the groups mingled. They stayed nude until we came to the town.
I looked at one of the men from behind and told my wife "If I had a body like that I would dress up right away". Alas he was too close and I got a very angry stare!

Naked is good. Me and my SO don't where clothes unless strictly required. And whoever said not wearing clothes is legal is right- being naked isn't ilegal- causing a public offence is- in other words, you can wear what you like, as long as no one complains. Sadly, Police tend to arrest you straight away, *before* anyone complains. Given the choice, I woild only wear clothes if it's cold. I find wearing shoes *very* uncomfortable, because I never wore shoes 'till I went to school (five) so my toes spread. The only item of clothing I've ever found useful is bras..
So if that rambled, muco..

Well, I guess if the arresting officer finds someone's nudity offensive - are they going to call a colleague and complain to them, or just do something about it themselves?
Also, I suspect most of the time they assume that someone will complain, even if they haven't already, because let's face it, there aren't a lot of people around who wouldn't object to people walking around naked in their midst.
Sad, but true.

Hi Skugga
I'll look out for him when I go to Frankfurt (not planned yet, but sure I will one day!)

I always found it odd that the police tend to take the following view
if it is a man that is naked and someone complains the naked man is arrested for behaviour likely to lead to a breach of the peace etc.
likewise with a naked woman and a complaint.
However if a man is naked and complains that people are "peeing at him" he still gets arrested
whereas if a woman is naked and complains that people are peeing it is the peepers who are arrested and the naked woman at most gets a caution.

that should have been "peeping"
if they really were peeing then of course they should get arrested

Is it not right that you can do what you want in the confines of your own house - and I'm assuming this includes your garden that is if it is not a communal garden - as long as you don't draw attention to it?
If I want to walk around naked in my sitting room which happens to be overlooked by a popular restaurant is that not my look out? If I stand in the window, pressing my bits against the glass and attracting peoples attention then fair enough, arrest me but if I'm in MY house who's to say what I can or can't do. If people are upset they shouldn't be peering through my windows? Can I get them on invasion of privacy?

I find the stuff about Mina's neighbours amusing. "Yes officer, it was awful. I was just standing casually on a chair looking out of the bedroom window with my binoculars, over the fence into my neighbours garden when I saw something that could have been a nipple!"
Maybe you could go sunbathe on the lawn of the Dutch embassy or so.

Xanatic, that's pretty much exactly how it was!

Oh, except the thing about you doing it at 2 at night. Do they use infrared binoculars as well?

I have no idea - maybe they turned on their security lights.

I can't remember which country, maybe Marocco, but there was somewhere that had a law against being naked in your own home.
But amazing that you have people like that in England Mina. I mean you even live near London, not in some small Welsh village or so.

On one side there is an old bag, and on the other is a young couple. Maybe the young woman was jealous.

I actually think that's the reason why even women aren't allowed to walk around naked in the streets. The men don't mind it, but the women don't want their bf's to be looking.

our next door neighbour used to go down the garden naked early in the morning to water his greenhouse, although i think it was he forgot to put anything on rather than an actually choice.
and lucky me used to see him when i opened my curtains, what a thrill! naked eighty year old bits! and frost bite!
