Where can I find some nice friendly girls?
NightVision_UK Posted Apr 6, 2002
Well I've got to add something here.
I'm a nice friendly girl...YES! I AM! with lots of love to give etc etc. BUT
I'm hiding away here in my Tower because...well frankly, nice friendly girls like us tend to attract Nasty, Shallow men so we hide away and never meet the nice friendly guys that are looking for us.
Next week I will try being a snotty judgemental bitch and see if that gets me anywhere. It works for my friends.

Snotty and judgemental? I don't really know many guys that fall for that.
BTW couldn't me make some secret sign to show we are nice and friendly. Flowers in the hair or something. So when we are out we know which people aren't worth bothering with.

Most of us men can see where you're coming from, Corinth, at least in a male-fantasy-world context. Your problem is that I think most women can also see where you're coming from, and they'll head off to where you've just been specifically because you aren't there!
If you ever find your dream girl, just what will you give her in return for her fawning and caressing? Or is this a unidirectional relationship you have planned?

A sign to let guys know hmm... trying looking in our eyes when we smile. The eyes are the window to the soul. Some people don't smile with their eyes...avoid.

i think there SHOULD be a universal nice-person signal... i like the flowers-in-the-hair idea, but too many women do that.

Hmmm... I am a nice friendly girl and there is NO WAY I would go around with flowers in my hair! I just don't have that really thick hair that it looks good in, just a flyaway mop that does what it likes. Why can't the non-b****rd men have to wear something silly instead so they are more noticeable?

Yeah, good point.
Mind you, I reckon you can tell a lot about a person from their smile. Some guys are blatantly just leering at you which is always a turn off.

I don't think you can tell from somebody's eyes if they are a nice person. You can tell some other things, but not if they are deep down a nice person.

Out there 'in the field', women choose the b*****ds every time. The decent blokes are rejected because they're boring. See "A geek tragedy": http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/A362242

Not always true, my lovely man is a confirmed - that is part of what I love about him! I have always gone for geeks (yes really) because I like intelligent and thoughtful people and it usually isn't too hard to do a little digging to find one that is kind and funny too. I urge all single women looking for a nice man to seek the geek! I tend to avoid the ones with Star Trek/Metallica/Red Dwarf t-shirts and the ones that quote Monty Python too often in coversation as opposed to having their own sense of humour, but that is personal preference.
I am sure there was a Dilbert cartoon about this once...

Not just a cartoon - I'm sure there was a section in one of the written Dilbert books about why engineers make good mates.

No, you're imagining that, I'm sure.
I rest in the pit of Universal loneliness, knowing that the only woman sad enough to be Dilbert's girlfriend was a metallurgist, like me

Not all people who find it hard to smile (with eyes or mouth) should be avoided. But, on current form, that seems to be what happens - so my mate says

I intended to be a metallurgist at one time, but I was seduced by Electronics instead.

My God, I didn't realise anyone ever *intends* to be a metallurgist. I just thought it was the last slippery rung of the engineering ladder, before you fall off and become a lab technician.

As a nice friendly girl and a lab technician, I wish to object to being classified as one step below a metallurgist! Surely every onr knows that we lab technicians are actually superior to metallurgists...... unless you're talking about engineering technicians, of course.

Well, remember that Italian buddhist girl somebody said liked me, and I made a fool out of myself only to find out they had said it for fun? Things get better, it turns out she is actually a lesbian. I'm just so good at this aren't I?
