All parti-coloured (striped, patched, otherwise) animals have different coloured skin. If you ever get hold of one, check.

Where else would you expect to find an oddly shaped purple vegetable (I'm not sure if it is a fruit or a vegetable)?

Emily 'Twa Bui' Ultramarine Posted Jul 14, 2001
I'm pretty sure it's a vegetable.

I thought the definition of 'fruit' was the part of the plant that holds the seeds. In that case, an eggplant is indeed a fruit. So are tomatoes, zucchini, and cucumbers, because they are only one particular part of a bigger plant. If we were eating the vines or leaves, we'd call them vegetables. I'm not sure if I've got that definition right, but that's what I've been told. Carrots are vegetables because we eat the root part; spinach is a vegetable because we eat the leaves. (Although I don't know where carrots and spinach keep their seeds at all.)
Here's my latest bit of useless information: you've probably heard of the Russian car company called 'Lada'. A friend of mine who speaks Hungarian has informed me that in her language, 'lada' means 'crate'. A few days later we were on the bus and saw a Lada drive past-- and the description was very accurate...

Hmm, it seems to me no matter what you feed mice they sh*t alot afterwards.
I think the difference between a fruit and a vegetable is fruits grown on trees and bushes.

A bit of medical terminology if you ever get to read your hospital notes...
PAFO = p****d and fell over
FUNDY = f****d up not dead yet
and a "cabbage" is a type of heart operation.
