What's The Most Embarassing Thing That's Ever Happened To You
Martin Harper Posted May 22, 2002
Male legs in general aren't viewed by (some people in) society as nice things to look at. Partly because women expose their legs a lot more than men, so male legs tend to look pale and unhealthy in comparison. And female legs get the benefits of tights, which hide a multitude of sins...

The men used to wear the tights, ok it was a loooooong time ago. But then women used to have several ribs removed with out an anasthetic, so they could look cute too.
Our Point! That there are plenty of women out there who should hide their legs in concrete, let alone wear leggings and never mind tights.
And there are plenty of men about with better legs then Naomi Cambell's.

But there is that strange thing that as women get older and more unattractive, that is when they start to wear thights and small bikinis. Somehow they just loose their taste underway.

Thank you, SuePlusArt!
Some have'm some don't, and that's it.
My ex had awful knees, for example, so he shouldn't have shown them. I get that. Ans he didn't. But lots of other guys have great legs (yes, there is such a thing), which they should show!

You need an invitation Red Dog! *'s*.
Legs or knees, it's all a bit academic really, you either love them or hate them we suppose.

Xanatic,
I think it is more likely that as people get older and more confident they stop caring what you think of their legs!

Possibly, though some get worse.

No Elly, we think Kelli's got a fair point.
There are those who try to kid themselves as they get older that they don't care, and then there are those who succeed.
We just don't think it's fair to discriminate against men's knee's in any sort of general way. y handy things to have when riding a bike.
So Kelli, have you got any other embarassing items to share with us?

This is from the Nice Friendly Girls thread, but I guess I can repeat it here. A colleague of mine mentioned in a passing remark that a girl from the company liked me. Then went on a 2 week holiday. I thought he meant it seriously, so I started talking to that girl trying desperatly to find out if she did like me and made quite a fool of myself in the process. Afterwards I found out he had only said it for fun(not knowing I would take it seriously). That made me feel quite stupid. Didn't make it better when I some time after found out she was a lesbian as well.

I hate it when that happens - I once watched a work colleague of mine really get a new guy on our section on his first day by drawing his attention to a girl walking across a car park by saying something to the extent that she was a fine example of womanhood (a considerable exaggeration).
The new guy responded by looking out the window and questionning the sanity of my colleague remarking something along the lines of that he she didn't quite meet his expectations of feminine beauty .
Sad thing was that it was our section leaders wife who was coming to pick him up and he heard the whole thing. I had to go to the loo doubled up half with laughter and half being totally mortified.

Precisely what? What did I say?
That's one thing right there that freaks me out- I'm very blunt, as Xanatic might confirm, and very sarcastic, so sometimes I just let something get out of my mouth without thinking, and then its either considered extremely funny/witty/cut, or offensive/tactless/just awfully rude, and I'm completely confused- "what did I say?!", I keep thinking. When i finally find out I just , 'coz it was nothing much at all for me, and was taken the wrong way.
Anyone else has that?

Hey Elli, don't take on so. We do it all the time, no we didn't find what you said offensive. We were just agreeing that we'd strayed off the subject a bit thats all.
In our youth we were obscure and crass in the things we said and did. In our cinical old age, we too can be quite ascerbic at times. For us a thick skin just means we don't feel the lightness of the breeze.
