What do women want?
Potholer Posted Apr 2, 2001
*has mental image of policeman knocking on door*
'Hello Mrs Johnson, I'm afraid we have some...'
*pauses to wipe chocolate from round mouth*
'...bad news for you.'

I go away for 3 hours and when I come back I find that this thread has become disorderly. Tsk.
A friend of mine used to say that a man was ok for her if he had two of everything and one of the other.

What do women want?
To be complimented, to be adored, to be worshipped.
To have their feet massaged, to have their back washed.
To be listened to, to have their opinions sought, to be made to feel important.
They also want to be wooed.
That is *every* time.
Bedtime is not legover time.
Seduce her like it's your first time together ~every~ time.
And *never* take her for granted, or speak for her!
The most important thing?
Respect.
Without mutual respect, the whole thing would be a no-go {for me}.

Hmm, GB, can I point something out? You've just said that women want to be worshipped and adored. I agree, that's what I've found too.
And you've also just said in the other thread that men want to be worshipped and adored. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think in the latter case you're stating it as a negative fact, ie. it's selfish for men to want this.

You're wrong.
I didn't mean it in a negative way!
Merely stating what I thought.
I don't mind worshipping my man so long as he worships me in return.

Fair enough.
It's just occured to me on occasion that a lot of women expect things from their men which they don't expect to have to give in return. And then the same women are always campaigning for equal rights.

And don't make a big show of it either.
GB - I think the world would be a much better place if both genders kept your list in mind. Certainly everyone would be much happier.

"Seduce her like it's your first time together ~every~ time."
What, you want it to be scary and/or awkward *every* time?
I definitely agree on the respect thing though. I don't know if it's possible for me to love someone I don't respect, even as a friend.

I'm not sure about that. I think I'd find that somewhat offputting. Especially if the behaviour was poor in other ways. Both sexes could do with a lot more kindness and courtesy. Opening doors may be construed as sexist, but it's a way of showing consideration. Either sex can do that - what's the problem - depends on who arrives at the door first.

Noooooooooooo! You can't bring sex and common sense together! That would destroy 7000 years of work on the part of the old testament

Potholer Posted Apr 2, 2001
Shouldn't that be 'You can't separate sex and guilt', or would that only be 2000 years?

Oooooooooh - first times. Yes! I wish it was like that every time. Just imagine - you are hesitant even to hold hands. Everything takes much longer and the anticipation so hugely marvellously monumental. (It's the anticipation that does it). He doesn't have to exactly ask my name, but ... mutual discovery of something new every now and again...... *wanders off in a swoon, singing to herself 'like a virgin - Oooh for the very first time' - that's what Madonna means*
Respected

It's very important that if a man has a temper, he should always control it, not unleashing it on a woman. Otherwise we might always be afraid.
