Well I haven't been around for a while, and I see there's been some fantastic fun additions to my favourite thread, after a two year gap! I hope all you sarcasm fans haven't been missing me too much. I don't know what made me look in, I think it must have been because I needed to wind down after the excitement of watching the Womens World Cup semi final, honestly, I'm still buzzing.

Always a pleasure Hammy baby, always a pleasure
The way you slip quietly back into the thread and boost everybody's spirits is a wonder to behold.

Talking about wonders to behold, our Prime minister didn't look his normal chirpy self this morning, looked a bit hacked off actually.

I read today in the Independent that the good citizens of Chipping Norton have rejected Mr Cameron and his clique, they reckon they're giving the town a bad name! They're blaming Witney for encouraging them, not Chippy's fault at all. I know this defies sarcasm but I've been laughing about it all day! I live in Wallingford, we're in the clear for once.

You say Wallingford, but I bet it's Didcot really. Snobbery, that's all it is Hammy.
Come to the Courtenays for REAL one-upmanship

The Courtenays? Are they the ones near the council tip?

AS, me, snobby? I go up to Broadways now and then to get some intellectual conversation, but no, I'm a Wally through and through, actually I regard a trip up to the bright lights of Diddy rather stimulating, after Wallingford, anywhere's stimulating!

Diddy is breathtaking these days isn't it? They have running water (running down the walls of the houses) electrickery, and I have heard talk of carriages perambulating up the Broadway without any HORSES!!!!

And the 99p shop is to die for! Well the new site is great isn't it? I'm sure we'll all be even more creative and witty in the new environment. Oh and before we leave Didcot, not only is the Waterwitch shut down, it's been razed to the ground! Another temple of intellectulism and civilised conversation gone! They wouldn't let scaffolders in unless accompanied by an adult! And where will the local branch of the Tourettes society meet now?
