I think ,the second verse is the first verse repeated Ham ,and the chorus goes something like ...a weatherman ,a weatherman ..I'll check it out ok ? I'm curious myself now !

Well, I was going to say, "I love retired social workers. My mother's a retired social worker." That would fit well in a sarcasm thread.

I know it ends 'and so is Michael Fish' perhaps our Piscene Pal Czar can confirm? I never actually got retired Juizes, Society found it couldn't manage without my Empathetic Supportive Caring skills, and frankly I wanted the money, so I do a bit of part time ministering to Society's casualties. Can I be of any assistance?

I believe he left the BBC in a bit of a huff, apparently he had a chip on his shoulder.

Pinky Posted Aug 31, 2009

Actually, Bob Dylan's greatest ever line in my opinion, 'it don't take a weatherman to say which way the wind blows' I think it's on Subterranean Homesick Blues, which it just had to be 'cos I can't spell the darn thing!

'Keep a clean nose ,watch the plain clothes, you don't need a weatherman to see which way the wind blows' I'll be singing that all day now Ham,thankyou ...and 10 out of 10 Subterranean Homesick Blues ,is completely correct ..I expected nothing less X

You're too darn smart for me Pinky, and as to keeping a clean nose, since I turned 60 I've had to buy one of those nose hair trimmer things, a joy if you enjoy sneezing, oddly my right nostril is much more sensitive than my left, now explain that one clever clogs.

Pinky Posted Sep 1, 2009
Ham some of us a super sensitive ,some ,not a bit sensitive whatsoever ...then there's you ,half sensitive ,half Geordie ,it's just how it is ..hair nose trimmers are a fine invention ,if you have a hairy nose hahahahahaha

hammondorgan Posted Sep 1, 2009
Well I haven't, cos I purchased a nose hair trimmer, came with the Babyliss set actually, what a ridiculous conversation this is, but honestly, my eyebrows and nostrils, how they've sprouted in my dotage, I'm like a werewolf hinny!

Pinky Posted Sep 1, 2009
hahahahaha hahahahaha A freebie eh ? Well then ,thank God you've grown nasal hair Ham thats all I can say,I hate free gifts going to waste don't you ( everytime I see a nose hair trimmer now on,I'll think of you ,infact,I will look at them with great affection,I never have before hahahahaha )

You're never too old for good grooming, do women get nose hair? Pardom my naivette, (ooh get me!) but I thought I'd ask someone who nose!

Pinky Posted Sep 1, 2009
Well,I can't speak from personal experience Ham,but,I do believe some ladies do you know ! I have read somewhere, there is a special fettish club ,hairy women ,and the male membership is huge ...I'm assuming they have nasal hair ..the women I mean ,it's automatic men have ,goes without saying ..I mean who would have invented nose hair trimmers if men didn't need them ?
Sarcasm-only thread
hammondorgan Posted Sep 1, 2009
It always puzzled me now you mention it, I mean those Ladyshave things, and the ladies disposable razors, they're pink for goodness sake! Now as far as I can see, hair is hair right? I mean i could shave my cat with the same razors I use, if I didn't die of blood loss from the scratches, so why would men and women need different shaving implements?
Sarcasm-only thread
Pinky Posted Sep 1, 2009
Fashion statements Ham ,it's vital for the female ego ..mens razors look like medical impliments,or something worse ..we have to have pretty things in the bathroom ...male stuff always looks menacing ..but your right ,hair is hair !

Well I don't want to split hairs, I remeber when I used to buy one 7 o clock blade for my dad, that was a brand of razor, now you can gt 5 blades in one razor, isn't technology wonderful?
