Hammondorgan (HO for short!)

I'm an exiled Geordie living in South Oxfordshire, Social Worker partly retired, but I can't resist the lure of paid employment. Something to do with a lifetime's experience of trying to keep myself employed makes it horribly difficult to just walk away. Right now I have more work than I can handle, college lecturer, (I'm really proud of that one,)Social Working part-time, and working for a Housing Association that provides accommodation for people with Mental Health problems. I love literature, Bluegrass/country /rock and roll/DooWop/Sinatra/Grateful Dead/Beach Boys, interested in all pop music really, I love 'Grass Roots' football and Rugby, I'm interested in all kinds of popular culture with a quirky interest in 50s and 60s radio comedy. Socialist and humanist without ever being bothered enough to be an activist, I specialise in sitting on the sidelines and generally being self opinionated and taking the p---. I'm a proud father and grandad, been married for 41 years nearly. I love mountain biking, though not competitively, in fact I like biking on flat mountains best these days. I'm currently resurrecting my musical career such as it is, I've been playing guitar as long as I can remember without getting noticeably better, but I'm in a decent little band surounded by good players, and I can belt out a song and just about carry a rhythm.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
