What do you count as curvy?
And what do you count as 'skinny'?
It sure is confusing, though i agree that women look better with curves than beanpoles, though I don't think I'll ever be counted as curvy

To me it's a figure thing. Without wishing to get crude, it's big s and a big arse, with a distinct narrowing in between. One can be curvy without being overweight, and one can also be overweight without being curvy....
It comes down to The Kate Debate - Moss or Winslet.

OK, hands up, anyone who finds Britney Spears attractive?

Imagine Britney Spears walking down the road in front of you. Don't think about all the baggage, or all the things you think you know about her, what Heat magazine or the media portray. Just look at her as she is.
She is attractive.

So, what defines curvey? I mean, size eight people can be curvey, right? If they're short?
As a curvey girl myself, I'm interested. Why do women want to be curve-less if men prefer curvey women? And what about lesbians? What do they prefer physically? This is an interesting debate.

Its not what you got its the way that you wear it.
Curvy, in proportion and well dressed looks and feels great.
However, less is definitely more around the hips, as the surplus drooped over the jeans look is definitely a big turnoff!
One size suits all is not true either-a smaller size dress cant just scale up to 'normal' sizes (16+)
Sexiness is not about size but how to carry it off with style and confidence
I hope this helps GC

Yes, I think there's a big difference between what we've been taught looks good and what does... I think the "secret" is being and feeling healthy and unselfconscious...

Is this the point where we compare vitals? 34, 26, 36. Am i curvey? I'm 5'2 by the way.

I've always wondered something about those vital statistics measurements - is the first one the rib cage measurement (ie the bra stap size) or is it the around-the-bust measurement?
Just curious really

I think it is an around the bust size measurement, kelli, as one could be a 36A and have very little action happening. There is a great old blues song called '36-22-36' - now that would be a very hour-glass figure.

I read that medicine students have found out that the "ideal" Barbie would have to walk on all fours and would die when first having her period, not to mention babies! Some comfort for the less perfect among us...
