Cute news story. "A tired seal pup which refused to leave an oil industry ship 100 miles out to sea is recovering before being released back into the wild. ... The crew placed the pup back in the water - but it returned, and fell asleep on board."

Not quite a news story, but fun, in a twisted way:

This bit made me laugh

".....while the rest of us have to work for a living?"

In what way does being a professional obnoxious adolescent at public expense constitute working, I think nurses and teachers have rather more taxing and worthwhile jobs than Clarkson

The BBC are also spinning the story evidently the apology at the end of the program was not for his silly remarks about strikers but for his "joke" about people committing suicide on railway lines - he reminds me of the nasty fourteen year old trolls who think telling jokes about the holocaust or famine victims is funny.

I bet Clarkson is kicking himself for being borne in the wrong country - the Tea Party would actually take him seriously smiley - erm

As Edinburgh prepares for the arrival of two pandas (who'll have had their tea hopefully), not everyone is pleased.

"At this point Mr Panda became openly emotional, "where's the justice, I've toiled away trying to make a name for myself & get nothing but funny looks, these two come to town & get a private jet, a £250,000 house, a £70,000 bamboo budget & more than half a million pounds in other benefits"

"E***n woman launches online fight for Facebook recognition"

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/dec/02/e***n-online-fight-facebook-recognition

Profanity filters on the popular socail networking sites think the town of E***n, Co. Limerick is obscene.

Note: I tried to post this story, only to find that the town in question pings off the h2g2 profanity filter. Irony.
