Maybe teachers should act less like morons and more like intelligent human beings...oh no, if they did that they'd have a proper job.

There are animals in this world...and some have self-awareness...but seemingly no morals or compassion.

Only human animals are capable of that sort of premeditated cruelty, but as Wilde said while all of us are in the gutter, some of us are looking at the stars......

The "truth" about the crackdown on the Occupy protests in the US.

Sounds a little overblown, but interesting nonetheless.

Overblown perhaps but certainly damning in its
implications that local repressions were coordinated
by the national government through Homeland Security.
The communication mechanism for such a coordination
is definitely in place. But tracking the blame back
to the White House could be a political move to lay
it all on Obama and undermine his 'popular' support.

Somebody phoned Radio 4 this morning to ask if the Marmite lorry that had crashed on the M1 was in the yeast bound lane

Yes, the 'Marmite' accident.
20 tonnes. Can you imagine how much toast would have been required to deal with that!

OK. I just did a quick calculation based on 4mg servings.
5,000,000 slices of toast.

'The British government has been secretly working with Canada to fight a European proposal that would officially label fuel from the Alberta oil sands as dirtier than conventional sources, according to the Guardian newspaper in London.'
Thank you, Britain.
'Jeffrey Sundquist, managing director for the Government of Alberta's U.K. office, said Monday that the EU proposal is discriminatory.
"It ignores crudes that have as high or higher emitting GHGs that are actually entering the eurozone," he said. "Canada does not export in any meaningful way crudes to Europe, so we find it very interesting that we are somehow going to enable them to hit their reduction targets."'

in a remarkable speech in Berlin yesterday Radek Sikorski, Poland's foreign minister, threw caution aside and made a dramatic appeal (couched more as a demand) to Germany.
I haven't read the text of the actual speech, but based on this article, I'm impressed.

Re the Marmite spill.
If I had two slices of toast with marmite every morning for the rest of my life to use up the 20 tonne spill, I would be about 6,900 years old before I ran out of breakfast.
End of marmite messages.
