Back in the old days before Windows, orange text on a black screen was reckoned to be the easiest on the eyes.

Your eyes don't have to work so hard resolving images in orange.

Really? I wonder why they don't sell orange pens, then. It'd be a nitch market for people with bad eyes.
I patent it.

Unfortunately, we're used to paper being white or off-white. Orange doesn't show up so well on white paper. I think one reason a lot of people prefer blue ink in their pens is that it's easier on the eyes than black, but I prefer the sharp contrast of black ink.

here's a totally useless bit of information.
In the Kylie Minogue video "Better The Devil You Know", Kylie is wearing a ring given to her by her then boyfriend/lover Micheal Hutchins of INXS fame.

Here's another one about INXS.
Before they were called INXS, they were known as The Vegetables, and recorded a track called "We Are The Vegetables".
Oh, and my favourite ZZ Top fact.
Of the 3 band members, the only one who hasn't got a beard is actually called Beard!

Here's an utterly useless fact I learned last night watching a rerun. Milhouse VanHouten's middle name is ....
Mussolini!

How near is near? On the same road?
Today's useless fact: If you call your mobile phone service provider to check that your phone is unblocked for foreign travel, they will try to keep you on the line and sell you stuff. This is because *you* are paying for the call.

Same community, next town over. About 6 miles. Near enough that Frank Beard used to rent videos at the same place I did. I could have seen Rocky Hill (Dusty's brother with whom he used to have a band before ZZ Top) at a local bar last weekend (but I was just too knackered from the previous night's frivolities to walk into another packed bar). Dusty Hill recently built a huge house on the Bay. I drive by it all the time.
And yet... I've never met any of them.

Trouble is, cos they've always got the shades on, you could walk right past and not realise it was them

I live in Camden, London, which is heaving with famous types but the only famous peson I've met here socially is a chap called Clive, who's the singer with Doctor & The Medics and lives in...
...Wales.
Very tall, and frightfully friendly, chap.

I did meet and speak with James Cameron once. He was visiting the Johnson Space Ctr. researching a television series (never ran). Afterwards he showed up at the world famous Outpost Tavern, (which can be seen in such movies as Space Cowboys and, regretably, Rocket Man).
I didn't bother telling him what I thought of Titanic.
Wow... I just did a quick IMDb lookup... He's listed as working (very preproduction, non-greenlit possible release in 2009) on a live action adaptation of my very favourite manga/anime, Battle Angel Alita (Gunnm). I don't know how I feel about this.

During 1998-2001, Britney Spears' breasts fluctuated from A to D, with her average size being a B+. Amazing what you can find on the Interwebs!
