I think guys like to dance. We just look and feel goofy doing it. At least I do. Hence the pints for some liquid courage.

Hey, I did take classes in ballroom dancing, and I did great in the class but it's a bit different on a dance floor.

I did BD too - but have you actually used it ANYWHERE - except maybe at a wedding or two?
Most dancing these days involves complete lack of coordination and making a fool of yourself - at least it does if I'm involved - thus most times is the best way to be!

Male dancing should only be undertaken after sufficient intake of alcohol renders any attempt at artistic movement meaningless.
~ the perfect catch 22 situation ~
May I rest my case?

What is the point of male dancing, Babel?

I think women get more involved in dancing because it's a physical activity that has always been available to them. Sports are attracting more women nowadays, but in an earlier time, women either danced, performed gymnastics, figure skated, or sat around and did nothing.
Guys don't need to dance... there's always football.
Of course, it still ranks as one of the absolute courting methods, so men had better learn it. Nowadays, all you have to do is go onto the dance floor and move as if you don't care if anyone is laughing. It's the people that look so self-conscious on the floor that look the most pathetic...

Seven, some things can only be understood from a same sex point of veiw.
Personally, I've started dancing as a way of achieving constant movement to prevent a certain lady using a part of my anatomy to *park her bike*.

As John Wayne so wisely put it: "I don't dance - but I take an occasional drink".
So do I - and after 27 occasional drinks I usually start to dance... Well, I try, anyway.
Stupid, isn't it? After all a slow dance with a nice girl can be such a nice thing. As some male once put it (could it have been Groucho Marx - or Mark Twain?): Dancing is a vertical expression of a horizontal wish

Hey, Pirat, I thought this quote was especially used for the Tango? History says the Argentinian Tango started as a pastime for men whilst waiting for the next available whore in the red district of Buenos Aires...

I'm afraid I'd step on your toes a lot while dancing the tango, my friend... I really don't know sh*t about ball room dancing or Latin-American dances. I wish I did, but it would take an available partner and some more time to learn it!
erm... you WERE talking about dancing, right?
