First Test-Run
A few words about myself:
My name is Griet De Winter, and I have lived in Belgium all my life. -Yes, that is the country of beer, frietkot, chocolat and european compromises !-.
On a professional basis, I will keep it fairly short, just to avoid people going 'oh my god (or any other transcendential being you wanna believe in)! Not physics, is it? Not another science-freak! Run AWAY!'. I studied physics and am now trying to do PhD research on a specific subject you do not want to know anything about...

In the little time that remains after turning knobs and reading incomprehensible articles all day, I spend my time
@ playing the classical guitar : I've been doing this since I was thirteen, for 14 years now (anyone who can count...), although lately I don't really seem to find the time to play...
@ reading (about) comic books : not the American style (sometimes) but mostly European comics. Believe me, there's a whole world out there! By the time I figure out how to add URL's, I'll give some more info
@ reading science fiction and fantasy (how very original, I know!) : if I have more time in the (near?) future, maybe I'll write something about it in my Journal. In fact I read about anything (not only SF and fantasy).
@ cooking and plants : it sounds rather boring, but I really like cooking. I don't think I am any good at it, but I'd like to *become* good at it one day... The same with the plants : I don't even have a real garden (living in the city) but I try to grow some herbs (no, NOT what you're thinking about!) in pots etc.
@ role playing games : some years ago I really played a LOT, but since a couple of years it has slowed down. Maybe it's a good thing, but I still like to play...
@ travelling.... I've only been across the ocean once, but I've seen quite some cities in Europe and tend to see ALL of them *sigh! 'If only I could...'*
@ studying Italian, just because I love the country and the people in it are not always good at any other language! (this is an understatement...)
@ writing : poetry and just thoughts, but all of it is in Dutch...
@ all kinds of things I've forgotten right now...
