So... someone (rightly) mentioned that this club has been kind of quite lately - so what are *you* playing right now?
And if you would like to discuss the game in question, feel free to start a new conversation about it!
Right - I'm currently trying out various Kyle's Quest 2 levels (created by users) on my Palm Vx
I've been thinking of making my own game for quite some time (there's even a reward at KQ2) but when I first tried it (an Aldon's Crossing module) I discovered that it was much more time-consuming than I had thought - but at least the AC module isn't very hard to understand

I haven't been playing anything very much recently.
I'm going to have to do something about replacing my PC in the not too distant future, so have held back on buying new games.
I must get round to completeing Icewind II and Neverwinter Nights though.
Anyone tried Lionheart?

*and I am not using a computer based RPG at the moment (I don't have one I have't played 12 squillion times).*
Neither do I. So (since I have no money) I'm waiting until Christmas to get one and filling in the time by cruising the internet and trying to get enough Baldurs Gate stuff to have a fairly new experience (almost there, only about five downloads I can't get).
I would be playing D&D but I lost my dice some time ago () and I'm waiting for more of those too.

One more thing.
I just recently got all the Infocom games (if you can count those) and I'm going to be playing them.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the four of us (with the occasional exception of Nerd42) seem to be the only ones who show up here?

Thorondir last posted 10 September
I left messages for Wargamer and Thorondir too - they didn't have this conversation on their lists either

The SSO has created a lot of new accounts and many researchers are still having signing on problems, I think quite a few are having trouble finding their old threads too.
No1 son is still at home a lot as he is temping, so we are planning a Dungeon Siege day over the LAN. We used to have fun playing Diablo online with a group of players across Europe, but most of them seem to have gone off and got themselves real lives now!

Well real life depends on what you count or rather counted as real. I personly prefer playing real live people with the dice RPGing so real life is a thing that happens (and gets in the way of many a planned session). Anoying but if you want a captive audeance for your less than book standard fantasy DMing a RPG is the best thing I have found so far (sorry darakat rants of the month fans out there).

I'm playing FFV for the second time, this time with cheats! I am having all kinds of fun kicking the tails of bosses that took me hours to solve the first time!

We used to have a Tomb Raider game. Don't know which one. Couldn't really understand what I was supposed to do (as I had never heard of it before then).
Has anyone heard of The Dagger of Shamanra?

A local area network (LAN) is a group of computers and associated devices that share a common communications line or wireless link and typically share the resources of a single processor or server within a small geographic area (for example, within an office building). Usually, the server has applications and data storage that are shared in common by multiple computer users. A local area network may serve as few as two or three users (for example, in a home network) or many as thousands of users (for example, in an FDDI network).
The main local area network technologies are:
Ethernet
Token Ring
ARCNET
FDDI (Fiber Distributed Data Interface)
Typically, a suite of application programs can be kept on the LAN server. Users who need an application frequently can download it once and then run it from their local hard disk. Users can order printing and other services as needed through applications run on the LAN server. A user can share files with others at the LAN server; read and write access is maintained by a LAN administrator. A LAN server may also be used as a Web server if safeguards are taken to secure internal applications and data from outside access.
In some situations, a wireless LAN may be preferable to a wired LAN because it is cheaper to install and maintain.
