I've just been watching Forest of the Dead and something River Song said got me thinking:
*Speculation follows, if you don't like this sort of stuff, look away*
She says to the Doctor "The last time I saw you, the real you, you turned up on my doorstep with a new haircut and a suit."
I think (I really hope) that this is hinting a regeneration - DT's exit. The reason I hope for it is because it means we'll see more of River Song, and she's a strong character to carry the audience through a regeneration - hopefully better than Billie Piper did on the CT/DT regeneration.
*Speculation ends*

Indeed.
Maybe this time Ian Hislop will get the role that should have been his last time.

Oh and Gif - I've a pile of X-Files videos if you want a borrow.

Thanks NPY, but I'm currently working my way through them on DVD - just taking a break to watch 24 before launching into Season 4.

They reshowed the HIGNFY epsiode from around the time of the last regen where Paul Merton 'outed' Ian Hislop as the next Doctor
Guess it was just me watching that then

Will everybody please stop saying the 'R' word. He's never going to leave, he told me. Honest! Or maybe I dreamt it!

Sean Pertwee...now that could be interesting purely from a family point of view.

>I'm still liking the idea of Eddie Izzard for the next one.
No, no. The man can't act.

I remember hearing rumours about Richard E. Grant last regeneration, and still think he would be excellent.
Although David Tennant has been good and I hope he sticks it out for a little while longer.

That would tie up Lucy Saxon, the Master's "death" and the hand with the ring at the end of season 3. I'll back an 'Izzard for the Master' campaign Taff
Didn't Mr E Grant supply the Doctor's voice for some animated stuff?
I'd like McGann to come back after Tennant.

Jemstone Posted Aug 29, 2008
Ooh, Taff, yes I think I like the idea of Eddie Izzard as evil Master better than the Doctor!

McGann was great in the film. All that excentric, animated, manic-ness that's great. Was a shame he ony did the film though. Would be fun to go back and see what else he got up to before turning into Ecclestone.
