*Tilts his head in a slightly bird-of-prey type action, looking at Martens. He didn't hear what the man said, but clearly understands he is being insulted*

Mr. Martens, I'm going to want a word with you. That is, when Mate Gillings has finished whatever it is he needed to say.

*The cook enters, nods to the assembled party, and ignoring anything that might be going on between them, climbs into his bunk*

Hrm...

Head! What gives you the right to sleep while we work our hands to the bone?

Mr Lorenzen, you've no call to take that tone with me. Were you not fishing just a few minutes ago? Hardly strenuous activity, I shouldn't have thought.

Besides, I have established that no one is needing fed, I have been up since before breakfast, and I have been half-crushed to death and nearly eaten alive by a mortal enemy. I thank you for your part in saving me from the Kraken, sir, but now I am tired, nay, exhausted, and I shall rest for a while until such time as my services are needed again, for I do not think that it is by your leave that I do so.

With all *due* respect, Head, I think you are getting your Johans mixed up again. I certainly was not fishing any time recently. I cannot stand fish. Live or dead, they are digusting creatures, especially when eaten!

*Mutters under his breath, barely audible to Martens, not audible to Gillings or Head*

And I certainly wouldn't have saved you from the Kraken if I could have helped it.

You are right, Mr Lorenzen, it was Mr Goodschad who was fishing. I apologise for accusing you of it, but I stand by my assertion that I have worked as hard as anyone else, and I certainly intend to rest for a while, whatever you may think of it, sir. All the more so if all you can do is scowl at me.

*pulls a blanket over himself*

*Scowles at Cook Head*

*Enjoying the bickering too much to stop it*


Lorenzen can talk to Martens first. I've been extremely busy IRL for the past several days, and can't be sure that I won't be once again soon.

Martens, would you mind stepping back here for a moment?

*Indicates a remote corner of the Forecastle, behind a bunk, and away from Cook Head and Mate Gillings*

Amelia: *quietly as not to scare him* Cook Head? Are you here? Miss Uli's fallen a bit ill, and I was to go and fetch some food and drink for her. I'm awfully sorry to wake you, but I really need your help...

*She wanders about the forecastle waiting for him to wake up*

She's as tough as nails, her taken ill? Surely you must be mistaken!

Amelia: *smiles at the gentle seaman* She's very tired, is all really. We're trying to get her strength back up, which is why I'm trying to wake the cook.

ahhh, she's a good fighter, her help was indespencible against the Kraken.....I believe I was interuppted at dinner, allow me to introduce myself, I am Johan Volkert.....

*rubs his eyes and sits up in his bunk*

What's that, young lady? Miss Uli is unwell? She who can heal anyone is taken ill? Well, I'll glady cook something up for her, but there's very little magic in my food, as most of the crew will testify without hesitation.

Do you wish to take me to her so that we can see what ails her, or do you know yourself what will help her?

*Amelia smiles*

Amelia: *to Volkert* Amelia Rangel. Hi. *wave* *looks over at Cook Head* I don't think she'll be needing anything special, Cook Head, she just seemed fatigued, is all. But if you think it would be a good if we had a look in on her, I don't think that would be a problem. Should we go?
