Can we know how he did it? How Lorenzen got the sourlstone, I mean. I thought she had a power to draw it back to her.

He picked my pocket. And then I foolishly went charging after him instead of just casting a spell.

I formally apologize for ending the game. I didn't think that my actions would actually finalize anything, and I had made plans for further action in the game. Um... Whoops? I had envisioned GL sending me to a new thread in my own time where I'd have had to negotiate for a return visit to the MC. But concidering GL's post in the forecastle thread, those negotiations wouldn't have lasted long, I suppose.
I also want to apologize for acting out of character by leaving everyone alive.

That's okay, everyone, you can still try to prevent the explosion that'll happen as soon as GL checks up on the Cargo Hold thread.

*still sad that it's all over*
Garuis? We /are/ going to do another, aren't we?
...Because this one had such an abrupt end and such...?
...and because we all miss it so?

Sorry to be silent for two days - I had a post to this thread almost done on Thursday when my wife and daughter came in to pick me up. Then, I took Friday off. Anyway, here's what I wanted to say.
I think I goofed. I should have handled it like Arl suggested, creating a new Paraguay thread. I had a couple of problems with that (the foremost being that I didn't think of it), but the problems could have been overcome. I had thought:
1) That CART wouldn't allow any return trips - I had remembered from the character descriptions that it was very unlikely. However, once I reread the character description after it was too late, I found that one return trip might have been possible.
2) I didn't know how to handle what would go on in the future. The people that Lorenzen would have to convince to send him back aren't players, so I would need to play them. But how would I handle combat? Thinking about it now (and over the past 2 days), I think I could have worked something out, but at the time, I just thought it was impossible.
Anyway, I think that with a little more imagination, I could have worked out a way to continue. Sorry, guys. I guess it also has to do with trying to do things quickly - when I read the threads and something needs my adjudication, I feel like I need to post really quickly, or I'd be keeping people waiting. So, when I saw that Lorenzen had gone back to the future, my quick thinking wasn't so swift.

Well, no RPG game would ever end, whether in real time or not, if the master had to keep extending the realm of the possible. If it's in the rules that once someone got the soulstone, that's it, then so be it.
But that doesn't stop any players who want to from continuing hors concours, on the condition that you would be willing to step in and adjudicate now and then.
Meanwhile, you have representatives of Good and Evil still calling each other names on the astral plane.

Well, I think extending the scope to a Paraguay thread would have been within the spirit of the game as we are playing it here. The ending of the game could happen in several ways, so simply absconding to the future with the soulstone didn't need to end it (although it would have in a live event, I think). It would be intersting to hear from Mac how other games have ended, once we are really done here.
Which may be very soon for all of the non-spirits aboard

Well, I end the game when 4 hours are up. Unfinished business happens "out of game" and isn't my problem. If all the plots are burned before times up I'll call the game (I've done this once). In this case, where actions are still possible, but they are outside the scope of the game then I'd call it over (going to Paraquay is not a Live Action oportunity, it would mean sitting down with the players and doing the actions as if it were just another table game). But that's not a problem in this format.

I'm willing to start game wrap now and let those still playing catch up in backlog. Does anyone want to start a game wrap thread, or would you all prefer to wait?

Game wrap? I'm afraid that I'm unfamiliar with that term. Could you please explain?

Game wrap-up. Questions and answers with confessions, followed by assorted bragging, apologizing, and war stories. LARP's answer to the cast party.
