* Eli nods and smiles. *

Yes - and that can be very useful sometimes. Though most telepaths know better than to trust a 'leaking' mental shield.

*Kyra laughs*

Right, and it wouldn't do much good if I was there thinking about all the secret stuff anyway.

* Eli chuckles. *

There's that, too. But fortunately telepaths are quite rare.

*Kyra looks more serious*

That's good, we'd be in trouble if we came up against one.

* Eli gives Kyra a crooked smile. *

I think we may already have - Rocher. He's a Gheorgheni, remember? Though maybe not all of them are telepaths...

*Kyra nods*

Yeah, I know. But I guess his mind was elsewhere, or we could never have gotten Quirinus out.

* Eli nods. *

Or he isn't a telepath.

* He makes a mental note to ask Arthur or Jamie about it and gets up. *

Let's get back, shall we? It's getting dark.

*Kyra nods, yawning, and gets up. The three of them return to the Androcles. Kyra makes a quick salad in Tavaron's kitchen, then they retire for the night*

*Paul couldn't sleep anymore. He left the bed - Tavaron watched him leave - and went out into the corridor where he walked up and down, always glancing to the direction of the anteroom.*

*After a while he goes there, puts on his shoes and opens the door. He stands there and stares out into the corridor of the ship. Only a small cleaning robot moves there on the floor to get away the dust. It also is the ownly sound.*

*Paul shivers.*

*Kyra steps out of the shadows*

Hi Paul.

*Paul looks at Kyra, his tail twitches*

Hi, Kyra. Been out exploring?

*he finally steps into the corridor*

*Kyra shrugs*

Not really. It's too ... quiet. How're you doing?

*Paul nods*

Yes, that's right.

*he sighs and shrugs*

I don't know. It's... difficult.

*Kyra nods*

I understand.

*It's hard for her as well. She keeps thinking of the last time she'd seen Georgia and Lily*

*Paul sighs and slowly walks down the corridor, but leaves the door of the taris open*

*he points at a dark window*

Here lived an old woman. She liked to watch the people in the corridor and if you made a wrong move she opened the window and shouted at you and told you about how things were when she was young.

*he stops for a moment and stares at the wall of the apartment - kitchy flowers are painted on it*

*Kyra follows quietly half a step behind Paul. She doesn't think there is anything she can say that wouldn't sound hollow, so she doesn't say anything, and just lets Paul talk*

*Paul slowly walks on, remembering the people who lived in the quarters, then stops at another one*

*he looks through the open door. The furniture is still there*

He loved that sofa. It's one of the few things he bought of his own money when he moved in. The rest were mainly old things from relatives.

*Paul sighs*

*Kyra touches Paul's arm lightly*

*Paul shortly puts his hand on Kyra's. He is glad that she is there.*
