I've never paid more than $16,000 for a car. I've always ended up with cars that got me where I wanted to go, and with at least 25 miles per gallon. I had considered buying a hybrid the last time around, but ended up with a very nice Nissan that got 35 MPG on the highway, and it has generally lived up to that. Someday, gas may geyt so expensive that I will only use it for getting groceries, or maybe not even then...

I've driven a few flash cars as required from time to time in my previous life as a lorry driver; including a top of the range sports car, a mitshubishi I think.
But I can't understand with a speed limit of 70 mph why a car is made to go at 170 mph.
It doesn't make any sense. I used to poddle along at 90 kph in my truck being overtaken by fast cars and then catch them up again and again.
Confusing

We suffer great woe.
Big bucks we must pay
For cars which can go
Too fast on the highway!

I considered an Aveo a couple years ago when I was in the market for a car.

It's O clock! The sun is well over the yardarm and me n my man are equally skint.
Finding ways to enjoy ones self and ones life without spending much or any money is one of the fun things in life. So long as the bills are paid and there's food in the cupboards, you can do the rest yourself.
The only time I ever had a relationship where money was an issue was when my ex's parents assumed I was a gold-digger.
Me ... I have more interest in and respect for personality than money, clothes, cars etc...
They should have been grateful I actually loved their son. It's more than they ever managed.

nice, robyn
the way things are going i will never be afraid of gold diggers chasing my kids
if there's anything left to fight over when i'm gone i've mad a gross miscalculation
somebody once told me 'happiness is being rich and enjoying the pleasures of the poor'
but that is only true if one of those pleasures is helping where help is needed, i believe

If we clean up the typos, you're a candidate for quote of the week with that one. Fortunately, I've done the editing for you, so you're ready to toll.

This used to be my favourite club; 'The Pickled Gherkin'. No gold diggers here cos nobody who went here had any money.
