Hi!
Is Captain Pierce around? I have a for him... a souvenier from my trip. Its a stack of old 45s... Golden Oldies: Beach Boys, the Doors, the Animals, Gerry and the Pacemakers, even Beatles! Oh, and 'You've Got A Friend', Carole King.

But not the Beach Boys?
Gosh, Pandora, I heard them on
the school bus radio every morning
on the way to school. The Beatles
didn't even exist yet, that's how
long ago it was! They'd sing
"Barbara Ann," and I would get the
words wrong, thinking the song
was about "Bob Durant."
Sometimes I sing Beach Boys songs at
nursing homes nowadays, and the patients
seem to like them--assuming they understand
what we're singing.

Okie-Dokie...whatever blows your hair back!
Don't mind me...I'm a gracefully aging Hippie. And also a Pink Floyd-Aholic.

I was recently in a pub in a tiny village in Suffolk. A group of men in rough work clothes were singing ballads and playing instruments together. All of a sudden I was hearing Sloop John B. !!!
Had to get up and join in!!!

Ahoy - and many happy floyds all around!
Having read the mother of all backlogs it is my distinct pleasure to welcome:
Dax - go ahead with that shop of yours (if you haven't done it already). Just please don't sell any chewing gum - I hate to see it on the planks of this vessel - or any vessel, for that matter
Uncle daddypants - go ahead with... well, er, with what actually? Ah, well, just make yourself at home. You know the routine? Just press the "discuss"-button on the front page.
Scott Bennet - musicians are always welcome. We have got quite an orchestra by now as well as a distinguished discjockey (Kheldar). Try to see Wowbagger and/or Kes in their cabins. What instrument do you play. I don't think we have a -organ yet
Paul H - it wasn't I but DM who preferred seminude pirates. Not that I can't live with that - but when it comes to piratesses, well... 'Nuff said?
Thanks for the presents mari-rae. Carole King really hit the spot
PS: Hope I didn't leave anyone out If so I am sorry, but I have been very busy in RL - and still am, so I won't be around much for a considerable time. See ya!
