Anyone's timbers need shivering? I'm in need of a ship Captain, and was wondering if you could use me and my skills(!). As well as my numerical and logistical abilities, I've been known to kill a man at 50 paces with one fell swoop of the tongue.

Young? I don't even remember what it feels like to be young.
I've got three kids (that I know of ) - the youngest being a girl who has a very smart mind of her own *plus* a karate-belt - so I'm not *really* worried

Just one question - exactly HOW far up the Captain's Private Quarters are we expected to go before we can sign? Just a thought.

Captain Pierce :
I suppose if I wanted to, I could
dish out guilt about as well as I
attract it.
First, it was just a silly song,
something that I specialize in.
Second, I didn't catch whether you
were saying no to all sailors,
or just drunken sailors, or to putting
them in your daughter's bed as opposed
to their siblings' beds. Can they
sit beside your daughter on a bus--
assuming that that's all they do?
If your daughter has a karate belt,
and you're still worried.....
Finally, these are supposed to be jokes.
I know my repertoire of authentic
sea-going shanties is not very extensive
("Yo-heave-ho and a bottle of rum" is
equally authentic, but how literary is
it, really?).
Together they would travel
on a boat with gilded sail.
Jacky kept a lookout
perched on Puff's gigantic tail.
Noble kinds and princes
would bow whenever they came.
Pirate ships would lower their flags
When Puff roared out his name.
So there!

D.M.help yourself Deary! And a few for Mrs. C. *hic* Welcome!
Paul H, did you know I specialize in Resolving Guilt? (trauma, anger & shame?)
I'm your Captian, I'm your captian, though I'm feeling mighty sick...everybody listen to me and return me my-y-y
ship...We're getting closer to my ho-o-o-me......
P.S.
I know what I'd do with a drunken Sailor!

I never doubted *that*, Pandora
Welcome, Ms Crumble, and sorry for the delay. Logistic and numerical skills may be good, but I think I fancy a red mullet better
A bottle of rum may not be literary, Paul H, but who gives a d*mn as long as it's autentic?
Dark Mistress, I think you are on to something. Some may say I am too old for you, but who cares - as long as you are not too young for me?

Captain Pierce , sir,
allow me to explain what a Bible is.
Once upon a time, there were some
wandering tribes in the Middle East
who "wrote" the story of their origins
and their understandings about God.
They had no paper to write it on, so
they memorized it, passing it on orally
from one generation to the next.
Eventually, it *did* get written down,
and was translated into many languages,
so that people like W.C. Fields could
read it in search of loopholes.
