It's amazing what people will do with the slightest suggestion.
You know they really want to, they just need the right nudge.
I sort of think of myself as the John Adams to GDesk's George Washington.
(Thursdayite's would have followed him to their deaths at spork point or nub as it were)
Oh well! Better luck next revolution. Happy Thursday everyone!
(and I almost got it to a spork/stroon duel)

"Spork Stroon" would be an interesting name
for an H2G2 researcher.
I believe you're right, Elwood. (The drinking water
in your neighborhood has obviously not impaired
your mind.) They really do want to come back to
the "real" names of the days. Even though I can
see why those names *might* seem silly. We are
a world-class civilization, and we *deserve*
silly names for our days. Such silliness makes
us even more noble than we already were.
Oops! Did I run off on a pointless tangent just then?
I'd better check my own drinking water.

Oooh! Cross-pollination of threads. The plot thickens!

Extra Chilli sauce, definitely, and some pickles, go easy on the lettuce, and hold the garlic yoghurt (long story)

or mmmm dill cucumber sauce.
See Thurdayites and Thingites don't have to be enemies, there is so much in common like kabobs!!!

* hands around double donners with a fine range of sauces, pickles (and not too much lettuce) *
Happy Thursday

Now don't nobody kill me here, but I'm gonna let that Tday slide cos of the fine Doners. There's no need for us to fight about it, we can munch Kebabs and agree to disagree surely.

How about we start a thread,
'the campaign to keep life on h2g2 as peaceful as possible so that no-one gets indegestion, so long as they are not an R&D lackey'
I think it has potential

Elwood, I think "donner" is the
German word for "thunder."
I don't know if thunder is edible
or not. Maybe it depends on how it
is seasoned?
Hold the garlic yogurt?
Suppose it slips through my fingers
and burns a hole in the carpet?

On the question of bi-lateral non-aggressive agreement between the Thursdayites and the Thingites, (hereafter referred to as the PARTIES) I think we should sign a treaty between both parties to show that we really can both get along afterall....

Seems reasonable enough to me.
And as token of our good intent, I shall start refering to that key day as Th**sday in your threads

YAY!!
And we'll play nice. Promise. Course, we still expect Ottox to fulfill his obligation to attempt to subvert us at every turn.
Life just wouldn't be fun otherwise....
