Whistler's Brother ? I had no idea we allowed whistling in here..I wonder if Kes knows about this...to be honest,I haven't heard him whistle yet.

U695218 Posted Apr 8, 2008
Maybe it's one of those dog whistles; you know, the ones humans can't hear?
It'a bit quit here isn't it.

.... . .the cacaphony of fluffykerfuffle's negotiation of the corridor serves to negate lapiz' question. ... . .

Pinky Posted Apr 9, 2008
Of course lapis, thats what it possibly is,a dog whistle..I hadn't thought of that ........have you got a torch with you fluffy ? Just incase !
THE SNUG
U695218 Posted Apr 9, 2008
I suppose we could leave some dog food out in the corridor and wait....that is unless fluff tries to 'negate' me or my posting again.
Anyway, later today I'm off for a 10 day break so I'll bid you all adieu and call in when I return.
Regards,
Lapi

You wouldn't like it if I did.....perhaps if I started up, he'd hear, then we'd know?
Are there any beer mats? There's one leg which wobbles. I tried one in my shoe, but the left leg is still too long.
In the meantime, in between time, ? Allow me.

A party! Marvellous! Good to see the old place busy. Thank you. Don't mind if I do. Mine's a ... or several.
Sing song?
We can cope.
*Drags a chair over to the dusty piano in the corner.*
Do you know how to mix a Manhattan?
You hum it, and I'll play it!
Any requests?
Where's the ?

Hang on, hang on. I can't be in two places at once, and I'm not coming in here in me cleaning gear. That's the outside washed and polished, and here's your Materials, Sir.
Have you found that missing domino? Or is that it making a funny noise when you hit top C? Open up the piano boys, and let's have a look. There! What did I tell you? And what are these? Oh dear.
THE SNUG
Kes Posted Apr 18, 2008
Oh dear! The poor piano. See that fluffy grey thing - looks rather like a baby owl - blocking off several strings? I think that may be the that I lost in there a couple of years ago. I wondered why that half-octave was so silent. The domino would explain the strange jannizary jangling effect with the top notes. Is there a qualified piano surgeon in the house?

So, THAT'S where the went, the piano!
Well I enjoyed my break and I'm glad to see that there was at least a little customer activity.
Now those two little labrador pups running around outside on the bowling green. They sure look bigger than when I left.
When's the next quiz night going to be?

Hello SD, I was only away for 10 days, not 10 years!
I think that old Joanna should be tuned so that it could be played again. The first tune played on it could be "'Meat'Me In Saint Louis".
Now, for a glass of and a bag of scratchings, a seat in the bay window and a peruse of the paper.
