And will probably be more of the same.

"visually inventive and funny and accessible to contemporary audiences while still connected to the book"
It's very exciting, but I hope this isn't PR talk for "completely different apart from the title". Anyway, this seems to suggest it's not looking too bad.

"...big screen version of A Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galax." A typo by any other name would smell as sweet.

Yes the "The" in "The Hitchhickers Guide..." isn't that important.
As for the beer debate, I probably should have done more research. Oh well.

I was referring not only to that but the galax part. Y not? (Ho ho ho...)
I think we all put far too much time and effort into the beer debate...

Whatever the cost.
Did anyone have an answer to the question posed about keeping some things, i.e. Rickmansworth, a fiver etc the same?

You don't think anyone has an answer, or you don't think they will?
(I'm really not trying to be pedantic, I didn't understand!)

I don't know either way you will get an answer at some point, or at least I hope you do as I would also like to ask the question. I think its something that only the TV directors will be able to answer.

I heard that Jim was going to be casted as Zaphod, the 2 headed lawyer. The movie has been in limbo for years. Douglas Adams wanted to be there for the filming but he's dead now. He'll never see the movie and maybe we won't either. It's rumoured to be released sometime in the next century or two.

There's no reason why Rickmansworth can't be kept as it is, but for the pub prices, it's a tricky one. The fiver will get a laugh from established fans but for newies to it all, they'd just be confused - or wonder where they can get 6 pints of bitter for £5 too!

Well 6 pints for a Fiver'd be pushing it a bit I 'spose, but you could certainly get 5 at your local weatherspoons... (OK it'd be John Smiths or similar such rot, but better than nothing....)

AH, but that'd be set in America then, which'd be a BAD THING....
They could always make it a 1970s theme bar, where you buy genuine 70s fivers for £20 at the door...
