Spike

I have been woefully derelict in posting to this establishment for many years. There must be many members who haven't been around for, maybe since 2003. Are you out there? And what are you doing? For me, I've learned how to drive, sing and identify waders. (Avian waders that is.)Hope you are all well.

I have just rejoined, again, I first joined in 2003, came back for a while in 2005, and thought I'd stop in now!

I'm very upset that I can't remember my original password or member name smiley - sadface and also that my favourite thread 'entirely without spoken words' appears to have disappeared - or can you help me find it??

Anyhow... Hi!

Seems like Spike has done a runner.

"My favourite thread 'entirely without spoken words' appears to have disappeared - or can you help me find it?"

Do you know which forum it was in? <./>Askh2g2</.> or <./>MiscChat</.>, perhaps? I recall seeing that thread somewhere, a good while ago. It was a good long one, with many participants, so if you asked at F19585?thread=612457 you'd probably get an answer.

Life is good. I love the idea of a Universal Granny! My step-sister recently produced a beautiful baby boy so I am now a 'stuncle' and Mum calls herself 'scranny'.

Post 14

Universal Granny

Up until this July, all my grandchildren were at the same infant/junior school (eldest one moves on this year), and I often go and help out at fairs, fetes, cake sales etc. All the staff and most of the children address me as "Granny". I love it! I am not too comfortable with a small tot, who doesn't know me at all, calling me by my first name, but........Granny - that's perfect!

I love Stuncle and Scranny - will you get to see your stephew often?

Post 15

Spike

My stephew's parents are currently settling in to a new house, but its not too far away so I hope they'll pop round some time. Doing fetes and cakes is exhausting (I've done it) where do you get the energy?

Post 16

Universal Granny

I'm afraid that if I "stop" I'll die - so I would call it incentive rather than energy!!
