Plans for the H2G2 Movie
Jim Lynn Posted Oct 28, 2003
The Hammer and Tongs news was officially announced several weeks ago. I've met the producer and director and they were really excited about the whole thing. Both of them are long-time hitchhikers fans.

Jim Carey? You've gotta be joking...What about John Cleese?

Zarquon's Singing Fish! Posted Oct 28, 2003
John Cleese is getting a bit long in the tooth now for any of the major characters (great actor, though he is), although I could see him as Slartibartfast.

True, how old was Arthur meant to be? He seemed to be around late 30s-early 40s to me.

Did I just read in today's Daily Tory that as much of the original cast as possible is ebing re-assembled (painful procedure) for a remake of the radio series now?

Just one more question why are you reading it if you don't like it?

Because they ocassionally have snippets of information in it like the remaking of the radio series with as much of the original cast as can be assembled (complete with photo of Simon Jones in his pyjamas and robe as he was in the TV series)
And I've kinda gotten used to their crossword compilers

Somehow thats almost as sad as buying it for its "informative content". But not quite.

It's weird. I think people read it becuase *sometimes* (sometimes) it has good journalism and is more informative than The Sun or The Mirror. It's still as racist as Enoch Powell, but as long as you take those parts with a pinch of salt, it can't do any harm (can it?)
