Hi. The Musicians Guild. Fantastic.

My real name's Dave, and I play guitar mainly. Learned piano as a kid, but my priorities changed after seeing AC/DC in 1988. Still play keyboards, but only to get things into Cubase (though I do still bash out the occasional prog-rock solo when the mood strikes!)

After a few years on the pub scene in Margate I pretty much gave up on the live thing when I moved to London (a proper job got in the way - along with some hardcore procrastination).

Don't really know what I'd like out of the MuG, other than to find out how my Glasters thread ended up on your page (beyond Cubase my interest in /knowledge of PCs is minimal)!

Further to that last post, I've flicked through a few MuG conversations. Gadzooks, this is binkin' marvellous!

Not very technical, I'm afraid - I keep an eye out for musical posts and Entries in the main forums (fora?): AskH2G2, Peer Review, Writing Workshop etc., and then update the MuG pages as often as I can!

Hi, I'm Navigator Black.
I play Violin in a ceiligh group, and also sing tenor for a barbershop quartet and all parts for a barbershop chorus. I also have my own band, Already Dead, which has 4 members with weird instruments at the moment.
I love all music except pop and some rap. I particularly like Cockney Rebel, the Pogues, the Clash, Beethoven, Pink Floyd, Stardrunk, the Dubliners, and the Used.

My favourite jazz performer (jazz is my passion) is the American pianist Kenny Barron, and I suppose what I'm looking for from the Guild is support, guidance and the chance to exchange views and comment with its esteemed members.

I play many instruments. My main instrument is Clarinet. Other instruments I play well are Saxophone, Trombone, and Baritone. I can kind of play the bells, piano, trumpet, and flute.

My favorite composer is Nehlybell.

1. instruments: flute, violin, alto sax, and piano...sang in choir for several years...and sing in the shower...etc...
2. music: i pretty much like anything...love ella fitzgerald, not really a sinatra fan, like acoustic guitar, Beatles...

Sinatra? I like his movies- guys and dolls, and new york, new york, are a few. But on his albums, his style doesn't change from song to song. It all sounds the same.

What instrument(s) do you play, or want to play? Do you sing? I played all percussion related instruments both in school band and for private pleasure for five years. I have been playing guitar for the last six. I also sing. I'm a baritone mostly, but I have one hell of a falsetto!

Do you have a favorite composer, musical artist, band, or music genre? My favorite two bands are Pink Floyd and Local H. My favorite composer is Ennio Morricone. My favorite solo artist is jazz's avant-garde noise maker, Sonny Sharrock. My favorite genre of music is rock and roll. I've been in love with it since 11.

Is there anything in particular you would like from the Musicians Guild? To further music-related entries and to become an even larger influence on the musical arts at the h2g2.

I'm a guitar player and have been playing for roughly 8 years now. My favorite band as of right now is the unicorns, its indie music which is my favortie genre. And I love the beatles. Thats all about me
