Can I have No. 42 please? {If it's not already gone}.
I'd like to call it "Honeysuckle Cottage" AND I am volunteering for work. I can serve in the shop, help at the hotel, hold the ladder for the thatcher, or I can maintain the fountain. Or all of them. Thanks.

Mari-rae, could you make a decision about St. Galaxy Babe's application. I can see the attraction of No.42 but it is in Sunset Close. Perhaps she would like to live at the Village Stores instead.
Also, I'm not quite sure where you stand on the subject of married couples like the Bucksaws.
Oh, and was Agony Aunt applying or just passing through?

Oops. I seem to have accidentally suggested that St. Galaxy Babe cohabits with vegiman. Sorry!

St. GB, would you like to select another cottage? I can move the No.42 label.

All the houses on Main Street have gardens that run gently down to The Beck and have a pleasant aspect across the Country Park.
No.20 (or 1, Magnolia Lane as it will be) is very secluded.
No. 17 would be handy for someone working at both the shop and The Grange.
No. 24 is the house of choice for the keen dog owner.

It is okay about the seclusion on 1,Magnolia Lane, because I need it from time to time.

Number 10, High Street, please! It's probably expensive, but hey, you're a long time dead. Or, if you're an Angel like me, not. I'll be able to reside next door to my favourite male.....

I'm sure you will be a great comfort to him. And he'll need it -- he was sniffing around Sex Kitten this morning but information in Another Thread leads me to think that vegiman is in for a Big Surprise.

If you need work, then drop by at the Job Centre. I usually ask for references, so can you find someone who can vouch for your suitablity?
Everyone is fond of vegiman!

Hi Lady C!
I'll fly by the Job Centre later. References? Ummmmmm let me think. Ah, yes. Will GOD do? Do you want more than one referee?
Erm, who said anything about vegiman? That MAN is sooooo accident-prone! I want to move in next-door to the Vicarage, so I can be near The Rev. {Hmmmmmmmmmm} Is the job centre still open? I'll go now. Bye!

Has the position of vicar been settled then?

No, as far as I know no one has applied for vicar yet. I'll ask Coely. I think married couples should be treated just as the men, if they hold a job or operate a business, then they're qualified for a cottage and/or shop. And if they have children, then all the old ladies will have something to complain about or to spoil rotten.

Amy, I got a Not Found error on your Graphics Arts link. I'd like to post a link to it from my home page for you!

Good Morning
I have just been wandering through your delightful village. Would you happen to have a small tasteful residence I could move into
(It doesn't realy matter what the taste is but preferably not mushrooms )
A garden might be nice if you have one of those to spare as well
Thanks
Must dash for the moment but will pop back later

Lipsbury - welcome
Mari-Rae - I had same problem, but it all works now. Feel free to pinch the code from me.

I don't know what caused the problem with A400500. It was nothing I did -- I had gone to bed.
Seems ok now. Here's the full link if anyone wants it.

BTW, its Graphic ANTS, mari-rae, not Graphic Arts.
To change the colour of the card, borrow the code from the Village Map page and substitute the following letters in the name of the image (card_xx_sm.jpg):
wb = white and black (the one on Lady C's page)
bw = black and white
y = yellow, just yellow
b = blue, just blue
yb = blue background, yellow writing.
