Pinfold is a chappie variety of entity? Then he must get a job if he is to live in the Village de la Vavoom.

Tell him to drop by the job centre and offer his services to me personally. I'll need references though.

If anyone has their new Guide Entry pages done describing their cottage and/or shops in the Village, please give me the address so that I can link to them from the Village's main page. So far my cottage and the Tea Shoppe are the only ones posted. Thanks!!!

Thanks for the tea. Apologies accepted, Lip.

I'll have No 12 if it's still going. Lipsbury: I suppose co-habiting is out of the question? I imagine that the Parsih Council might have something to say. Maybe this is not-that-kind-of-village...

LP, I have allocated No.17 to you. Happy gardening.

Thanks Amy - you're a brick!

Sorry cloviscat, I guess we won't be co-habiting then though it was a tempting offer.

Please do feel free to pop round whenever you want.

Must dash - need to see a Lady about a job ...

Through a great deal of discussion, of interests, abilities, etc. we've decided. Since we're a married couple, and need to work if we want to live in the village, we're going to have a cottage industry, if that meets with zoning laws??? We want to brew honey mead, and knit nice warm shawls for the little old ladies. I'm sure you will find the quality of our wears superior in every way.

You must contact Menza at the Forum and Firkin about selling your mead. He gets through quite a lot of it when Pastey is around. Actually, come to think of it, Pastey might want to buy directly from you. I'll pass on your card next time I see him.

Are you happy with the cottage? It's not too late to change.

I like the village. Looks like a nice place to settle down. Can I apply for #3?

No! No! No! I don't mean 3, I mean number 13.

It's a nice house, and the number should ward off anyone annoyingly superstitious.

Lovely garden too.

Elp!
I haven't been to 'this end' of h2g2 for a few days, so could someone mind outlining what's going on?
I.E. why do I appear to be house-sharing? (Not that I object, neccisarily).

Well, Big Mad Mr T, you appears to be house-sharing, cause you earlier ask for it - see Post no 33.

As you can see, the Village is growing, we have more and more inhabitants - it's fun!

Big Mad Mr. T,
You'll have to check with Amy to be sure, but my impression is that sexton and bell-ringer are two jobs that you alone hold. They are not two people sharing your house. Please create a Guide Entry from your own homepage describing yourself and your cottage and give me the address so that I can post it as a link on the Village's home page. Thanks!

I'm not really here

Could I move into the village? I am a single lady, although probably on the bottom limits for age. smiley - smiley I'd like number 21 if it's still available as it's right next to the pub. I'd call it Kettlebastin, and can my dog move in too? He's very clean, and hardly barks.
If some sort of job is required I'm a herbalist.

Can I move my things into the doctor's house? I've only got a couple of cardboard boxes and a big rubber plant. I'm quiet as a mouse, except on friday nights, when I'm loud and obnoxious. I'll be on the bridge over the river, feeding the ducks if anyone wants me.

I have suggested that you move into The Old Vicarage (which is about to gain a much bigger garden) since Dr. John has been appointed village doctor.
