That's a good name for him. With shades of being and outlaw or outcast too.
It's been odd knowing that random sounds in the kitchen aren't him coming in to nom Tiger 's food.

I'm trying to work out when 'nom' became a syllable that carried meaning. I occasionally refer to nomming things, and I'm often quite slow to pick up on cultural buzzwords. I get told off for extending 'minging' into a verb form and conjugating it. Though quite why you can't say that something you encountered yesterday mung, I really don't know.

You see, I would have thought they manged, myself. That ole north / south divide.
I picked up nom from Lolcats, but I've no idea where they got it from.

Me either--Gracie quite clearly (and loudly and insistently) says num-num, not nom-nom.

may i ask a question of the brits in the atelier?
i'll take the silence as your assent. Thank you very much.
in the song "rule britannia", i need a ruling (lol) on the line of the chorus.
"Rule Britannia, Britannia rule(s) the waves"
should it be with or without the (s)?

Definately the plural. I'm on the 0619 train to Manchester. And I didn't over sleep. Go me.

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs today Sun trying hard to peek through.
A long day in the classroom today I'm not overly green but something tells me that the mountain of magiboard pens in landfill nowadays is significantly worse than having chalkdust on the carpet.
Time to rouse the rabble for breakfast.

Like Dr Zen, I too am on a train to Manchester. For me this is much more normal because it's where I work. What are you doing in the big city Z?
Atelier as cat adoption centre, well we welcome all sorts of beasts and creatures in here so why not

I'm going to disagree with everyone else for once and go for "Britannia, Rule the waves", without the (s). When it was written it was meant as encouragement or instruction to Britannia to go out, rule the waves and build the empire. 'Tis true though, that it's generally sung as "rules the waves" so I guess these days you can take your pick.
