That makes my pelvis ache just thinking about carrying a 19-pound baby around.

Er...I should clarify ache with *pain*, lest anyone think I want one of my own.

I've just cleaned the cutlery drawer out and polished every last knife, fork and spoon. It's extremely satisfying to open the drawer and see things sparkling back at me. I must have caught some sort of virus from V when she was here.

Ow. Just... Ow.
Gracie's 7 months old, and she was "only" 15 lbs. 4 oz. at her last appointment 3 weeks ago.

Mol - on the new tablet Posted Sep 24, 2009
I used to love polishing and sorting out my mother-in-law's silver cutlery, Lil. She doesn't have it any more
I've just ordered shopping.
I've also just inadvertently discovered that my verified by visa details aren't case sensitive, which I find very hard to believe.
And I'm about to go to bed. I'm catering for a group of 25 guides and leaders this weekend - in a house, not a field, for a change - something I would not have volunteered for six months ago if I'd known how busy September was going to turn out. I'm completely with Ben - every time I start doing something, I think of the five other things that also need doing now, this instant, straight away. It's getting very stressful.

again for GDZ.
Good luck - do make sure that your other kid gets plenty of your time without having to do anything to harm herself.
I've got the torties a winter home - a very big viv that takes up most of my living room. The rest of my house is a bit of a tip but The Lodger goes away for the weekend and I'm going away with Ben, - so hey - it can wait. The cats don't mind.
Off tomorrow to spend weekend with B.

Thank you all for the well-wishes, it helps me immensely to know that I have friends such as you.

[Goes outside to feed Roget the old newspapers from the back of the van... It seems to be giving him indigestion, dyspepsia, tummyache, collywobbles? or maybe an upset stomach.]

Decidedly chilly morning despite thin layer of clouds. No night frost yet, though snow is predicted for the northern parts of Sweden for the weekend.

Mrs Zen Posted Sep 25, 2009
Morning everyone.
I've just realised that the underlying feeling I've got at the moment has a chunk of grief in it: I like working for t'Bank, and I was excited by what we were going to do and I am fond of the people I work with. I'll miss all that. Still, as my Ma used to say and I am sure WA could confirm, worse things happen at sea.
Which reminds me: anyone who tries that Scottish Lobster thing with me will be put in a pot of cold sea water and brought slowly to the boil while I make hollandaise and listen to their screams.
That's better. Tea is always good.
You do have concerned friends here, GDZ, and I'm regularly blown away by the collective wisdom and experience in the Salon.
Are you going to get a giant Tom to go with the giant Viv, Z?
Right: back to my muttons.
Key: Complain about this post
