*urban dictionary's scottish lobster*
I'm a fool. Putting the recycling out I slipped and broke a lime marmalade jar and then promptly stood on it. I've sliced my foot.
I'm currently sporting a rather fetching blue bandage

Ouch, Mags.
Here - sit down and have some
* passes another cup to Ben, who sounds like she also needs one
It's green tea, Ben - so no milk required.
Good luck with your job changes, Milla.
Ti. Wonder how long it'll take before someone decides to make a film of the robbery story.

Couldn't resist urban-dictionarying 'Scottish lobster'
Correct me if I'm wrong, Teuchter - you didn't really think your warning would have us stay away, did you?
Didn't actually read more than the few-line summary on Google - I'm online in the train en route to our Diana Krall concert in Aarhus tonight and did not automatically assume that the innocent bystander next to me would appreciate knowing about this sort of seafood...

I successfully reorganized my closet yesterday, moving a set of shelves over so that I could hang my shirts at wchair level, and then cleaned out Kitty Korner, where the litter box dwells. Feeling smug and virtuous today.
And I have been thinking hard about the Conversation Introduction. I think the repris needs to be scaled back. I think I began the practise by referencing major topics of discussion, but over time it has burgeoned into a recitation in great detail of nearly EVERYTHING that happened. Because salonista scribes are thorough.
Nobody scribe for the moment, while I consider how I might redecorate the Intro.

Dang but I'm sleepy this morning. I think my sleep cycle is going kerfooy again.
In the "as if a racoon and a family of possums weren't enough" category, I have a very large groundhog living under the slab for my garden shed. I'm trying to get a photo, but by the time I grab the camera, it senses me and runs.

Lil, the times I've scribed I tried to just hit the trending topics by scanning each LED as I read through the entire conversation at the end. This meant that I would be reading it all in one go. I never found 2K posts particularly daunting by doing it that way. I don't know if that's the end result you wanted, but it is what I would do.

Gosh darn it, now I can't wait until I get home tonight so I can look up the naughty definition of a Scottish lobster!

*offers Ben some more *
I've just had a bit of an odd day - it lasted a long time anyway. I was planning to take some leave to day to plan to go up a mountain. Anyway I got a phone call from the old hospital because last nights night shift wasn't covered and could Igo and help. Covering a night shift is hard because you are looking for someone who can take the next day off work. As such I was compesenated well for it. And I already had the next day off work.
Though I think this is the first time I've stayed up for this long straight!
6am on Wednesday to 1.30 pm on Thursday.
Ok this was probably a dumb thing to do.

Ning all.
We spent a long night at the hospital with C who decided that threats about his life are more important than doing his homework...

Oh dear GDZ. I do feel for you having watched the former Private Life (remember him?) go through just such a cycle with his daughter. He felt outrage, offence and anger, but he missed the point that even if it was 'just attention seeking' she was seeking attention for a reason. As I think you know it all ended badly, with inquests and such. So good luck with it all. It's a situation which terrifies me, as you can imagine.

I will be there Marv. Need an outlet of some form.
I actually don't recall Private Life, Mrs. Zen.
I am currently awaiting a call from C's therapist for a conversation this afternoon. I will be pulling C out of school early on Monday, which I hate doing, to see said therapist. There is also an in-home type of therapy where a therapist observes the family and helps make changes that I am going to call about as soon as I have heard from his therapist.

Sounds like you are being a lot more practical and mature about the situation than the former private life was, GDZ. It's really good to hear that.
