Thank you Amy, I do hope I didn't sound scantamonious.
Now time for an incredably shallow I've waited around all after noon to follow one of "my" patients to an investigation and another medical student is there.
One of the disadvantages of Tony Blair's programe to train 1000 extra doctors every year is that at the moment you can't move for medical students. And on Wednesday we'll have an extra 30 here.
Of course I hope the patient's investigation turns out ok as well. And I'll be grateful that I'll only have to work 56 hour weeks rather than the 70 odd that juniors were doing at the moment etc.

I'm in an odd sort of mood today. Something about the beginning of a month makes me feel unsettled.
What quarter is the ? Perhaps that's it.

Not being able to access the site for the better part of a 24 hr period is not a good thing. Especially when you have the backlog I just finished.

The presentation went well, and they even laughed at my jokes! The audience was exactly what I had hoped for, about 30 or so people. A woman came up afterward and asked me to sign the copy of Billy that I had passed out, and I found out later she was Elizabeth Fackler, author of a biographical fiction titled Billy the Kid. She came from out of state to attend.
The museum staff has asked me to do an encore presentation later in the year, but in a larger venue.
I am exhausted, and I have a cold coming on, my throat feels all feverish. Matina, can I have some more hot chocolate, please? And some aspirin. And a pillow. And a book of crossword puzzles.

A is going to Australia tomorrow, so far him and J (his other half) are working out how to get to the airport. There is a direct train to the airport and we live opposite a station, but they seem to want to drive despite not actually knowing the way.
I want to have the flat to myself for three weeks and at the moment it's not looking likely

Well done Lil!
The reason I've been feeling out of sorts is that I have a cold coming too. Two slow release vit C before I go to bed should help.
