dElaphant (and Zeppo his dog (and Gummo, Zeppos dog)) - Left my apostrophes at the BBC

I scored "0% - poser" on the geek test, mainly because I submitted it without answering any questions. It's too long! Someone sent me that address last week, and I scored 0% then too. But I keep bookmarking it, meaning to take it later.

Wolfgang and Houndstooth

the sound of a dinner bell can be heard coming from the garden

It's such a nice evening, I decided to set up the grill outside. Come and get it folks.

Don't mind Houndstooth. He's my waiter down at the Dandelion Diner. Just don't expect to see him much during the day. /ahem/

Irving Washington - Gone Writing

I scored as a Total Geek. It's the DNA and JJR Tolkien that got my score up. That and I could think of some things that could have been on the test but weren't. 5+ Hobbits indeed! Anyone who's seen the first /movie/ could name 5+ Hobbits. And choosing 5 dwarves out of 13 is /not/ a daunting task.

Nothing sums up summer better than eating al fresco.

We are trying to beat the heat and get into town early, but it is the start of our Summer Festival and the museum is entertaining 'Elizabeth I' after she has processed up the High Street. So we may have to stay and watch that.

An item on the tv news this morning was describing intelligent aircraft seats that would warn the crew of timid flyers, restlessness or agitation that could indicate a terrorist or passengers that aren't moving enough. I can just see it now, there I am doing my Pilates leg exercises to avoid a DVT and suddenly I'm surrounded by the cabin crew and the flight is diverted to the nearest airport!

15,18738% Geek - is it possible *not* to be rated as a Geek at all? Or is the fact that you bother to take the test at all a sign that you are a Geek?

You just need to get your Mum online, T.

No sign of Elizabeth I, but I have got the new HP. I won't let anything slip though.

Me too.

I got 13 point something and Geek tendancies. I'm actually a bit upset by that, and I only got that far cos I read a lot. Plus I know what the blue screen of death is from hanging out here.

It turns out B hasn't got a stomach ulcer... and never did, if you can believe it. He shows up at the hospital and the doctor greets him with "So why do you think you have a stomach ulcer, then?" B, bemused, mutters something about not thinking but being told, and the doctor informs him that he's been having a look at the last test, and he can't see one. So B eats the tube again, and low and behold, the Doc still can't see any ulcers and also can't find any evidence of scarring left by an old ulcer.

Anyway, what they did get right last time is that B's 'cap' thingy between the threat tube and the stomach is stuch in a permanent open position, and what this Doc thinks is that excess acid sometimes spills over and ittitates the stomach wall (or something like that) cos what there are, apparently, are abrasions. So now B has to treck back to his family Doc for some new advice on how to deal with it. *Rolls eyes* Remind me to ask Z about it when he gets back from France.

I suppose the bland diet was doing some good though if excess acid is the problem.
