*Pops head shyly round corner.
Having been tempted by all the shortlisted titles I'd like to cast a vote for Silverlock by John Myers Myers on the grounds that I've not read it and on reading the descriptions this was the one I most wanted to go out and read a bit more of.

The voting for the first round is closed, unless I'm simulposted while typing this. After examining the votes, I have decided to narrow the shortlist to 4; otherwise there would have been a huge tie for 5th place.
The shortlist is as follows (same order as in original list, not by number of votes):
Three Men in a Boat
The Last English King
Silverlock
Wizard of Earthsea
You are not bound to your previous boat, but you still may not vote for your own nomination. If there is a tie, I cast the deciding vote.

Since I can't vote for my own, I say Last English King.

Lil, I just noticed this little 'subliminal' line in Post 62:
"You are not bound to your previous boat, but you still may..."
Guess I better run out and buy it, eh?
