The results of the vote are:
Three Men in a Boat - 6
Last English King - 5
Silverlock - 5
Earthsea - 1
Throw a black book in the fireplace! We have a winner.
Despite my word slip in the second round, I would have cast a tie vote for The Last English King. The author Ross King has a new book out, Michaelangelo & The Pope's Ceiling, which I think I'm going to order also.

I have to confess to changing my vote from 3 Men in the second round as I have already read it and I bought the Last English King at the weekend.
But I shall enjoy 3 Men just as much as ever.

I stopped at Barnes & Noble and they ordered it for me, no shipping charge. I just couldn't see paying $4 s7h on a $6 book.

Hey Witty, I found a web site where you could pay the same price to have the text e-mailed to you (as opposed to clicking the absolutely free link above).
Here is another one, formatted for Palm (again, free of charge)

Now the Palm option interests me.
I do a lot of reading while waiting around for my kids. I just couldn't see printing off the whole book, short as it is, to haul around in my car.

Maybe it's the medievalist in me, but I just can't read that much online. I have to have a book. I will see what I can scrounge up.

Ooo, I found my copy while tidying stuff into boxes last night. Will try and have a re-read of it before everybody gets too far up river.

Well I've now managed to get myself some dead tree and a reprint of Three Men In A Boat for the princely sum of £1.50, cheaper than expected.

For those of you who don't already use this web site....
http://www.addall.com/Browse/Info/
There is a search box at the bottom of this page. I love this site. It searches multiple sources, gives you price comparisons, shipping costs, and contact information. It includes bookstores in both the US and the UK.

Converting mine into pdf and printing on office printer. I can ship anyone a copy if they'd like similar. No charge for shipping, of course. I don't imagine there'll be any takers but it is always nice to know there's options other than reading.
Oh, and has anyone read the newish sci-fi book titled "To Say Nothing of the Dog" ?
