Having dealings in the past with those electrical superstores, I phoned a local retailer one who have some machines in stock which they could deliver today, or if I fancy another they one which isn't, they can still install it before Crimble. *phew*

I find sometimes it goes up, sometimes it goes down with the blood sugar stuff. I think I managed to hit on the right amount of insulin and food to go with the I drank.
Now to do some wrapping and then try and sort out a replacement mobile phone (thank goodness for the insurance I've been paying out) because I managed to lose mine last night. The most annoying thing is not so much the loss of the phone but of all the collected numbers in it's memory

I plan on leaving my workplace at two.

We ought to determine who's going to be completely absent over the hols -- the Mother of All Gooses will very soon be ready to roll. Frankly, I'd rather have it start slowly and gather speed, than be interrupted by sudden character drain caused by the holidays. We can delay the opening night, if needs be.

The new washer arrived, but they haven't been able to locate a dryer but that isn't too much of a problem in the short term. Going on the advice of my hairdresser's fiance (he was a washing machine repair man) I made sure that the Bosch I bought was made in Germany rather than their Spanish factory.

The real upside is that for a tenner No1 son cleared up the utility room so that there was room for the old machine to be taken out. I don't think the room has ever looked so tidy, only problem is he just clears everything away into bin bags on the premise that if we wanted it we would be using it

I'll be in and out from 24 December through 2 January. We're foregoing a vacation trip and have opted to check out the local doings in our own town, Columbia, Jefferson City, and St Louis. All that running around should suitably frazzle us, though I may (just) be able to post a few times in the evenings, as we plan to sleep in our own home in our own beds each night.

Thanks to Phil and d'E for their help regarding my web server. I am still in the experimental stages of it and not sure where I am going with it. Content is lacking on it at this time, becuase I don't know where to go with it. I could just make yet another blog that is ignored by the world, or I could try to do something new. I just have no idea on what to populate the site with.
