Why Phil, thank you! With all the flurry over the *other* holiday, I clean forgot this one!
Oh, that means the kid will sleep better on the train.
Can one legally kill one's parent if one's parent has purchased a karoke machine for one's child?

Oooeee
And MR, while I don't think it is legal, I do believe that it can be considered an act of war and just cause for the cessation of contact with said buyers.

MR, that is just such a situation were that mini tank from a few 100 postings back would be useful
The sitting room is not looking much better this morning, but my normal cheery mood has returned
Had a policewoman at the door last night, for a terrible few seconds I thought something ghastly had happened to No2 son who had gone out. But apparently a burglary had taken place in the local area and she was doing door to door enquiries and had I seen anything unusual occur, which I hadn't. I didn't think Cassie trying to eat the fake was the sort thing she meant.

Caer, glad to hear the mood has lightened. Before I moved to New Mexico I used to host the family banquet at Thanksgiving and sometimes at Christmas too. And I don't remember ever enjoying the meal, although the leftovers were pretty good. Too much responsibility to relax and taste the food. And all the work beforehand, not just the cooking but the cleaning and organizing... It will be just me and Bro' this year, and a big roast of beef.

I'm over my little tippy tantrum, Lil, I set my expectations too high and must learn to accept that I'm not my mother and that effortless cooking and househeeping is quite beyond me!
It didn't take long to get the house back into some sort of order and the Malaysian Lamb Curry turned out better than I thought and all the hand grinding of spices was worth the effort. It is now on my dinner party list of menus.
Dad was quite enchanted with Cassie , she demonstrated her eating skills and lightening reactions to the teaser toy.
The Pantomine season runs until mid-January generally, so we have plenty of time to involve everyone.

Santa comes to our house tonight.
For the last few years, we have taken to spreading out Christmas. Part of that is that my wife, daughter and I have our own little Christmas before the 25th, then go have a second Christmas at my parent's house on the actual day. This year, we are spreading it out a little more by having our turkey dinner the day before our early Christmas - i.e. tonight!
Let's see...turkey tonight, turkey leftovers Monday night, turkey at my parent's Wednesday, turkey sandwiches for lunch all week...
Can you tell we like turkey?

I'm planning to have lobster because I'll be all by myself so table manners are not an issue. But if M&S haven't got any I'll have to have some sort of bird .

I'm avoiding the cooking and better still the washing up,
having lunch in the wine bar up the road.
