Loony, have you seen the latest satirewire dot com story? The headline is "AUSTRALIA GETS DRUNK, WAKES UP IN NORTH ATLANTIC". It may tickle your fancy.

WM, thanks. It's a classic - and oh so true
OP, for some obscure reason, Germans and sharks don't seem to go together too well - at least in my tiny mind. Now Germans and beer, that's a different kettle of fish, so to speak.

Hey Loony,
Last night the GF and I enjoyed a GodZone vintage. 1998 Kumeu River Kumeu Chardonnay. It was an excellent bottle. Do you know much about this vintner?
To those in the US it is imported by Wilson Daniels of California. I would highly reccomnd it as a good table white.

Glad to hear that the meet went well and that you all had a good time!
The weather is beautiful again, after a brief cold spell over the weekend -- over 60 F on a sunny day.

Smelling gently of damp wool, and pondering a little known law of astral physics which appears to prove that puddles have a large gravitational field around them, acting in direct proportion to teh size of the puddle and inverse proportion to the size of the child; ie, large puddle small child, inevitable moisture event. Or perhaps this is only true in the case of small boys.

Just a short note to confirm Marv has excellent taste in wine
Glug
A couple of more little-appreciated German traits... they are inefficient and have an excellent sense of humour.

Puddles also have a gravitational effect on dogs. At least on my dog they do, almost equal to the gravitational pull of squirrels, and equaling that of birds. This leads me to believe that at the center of every black hole is a puddle, a bird, and a squirrel.

Waves to all who were also at the meet up and wonders if Munchers got home ok.
Another excellent do
He and the Scotish tribe were last seen at Waterloo, when he decided that he was in need of the facilities which didn't exist on the train, so they missed the one I caught home and were left pinning their hopes on the last one of the night.
Tinkerbell, Peragrin and some others were also noted on the concourse, having missed the train they were planning to get and were now going to be on the same last train as munchers crew, so I just hope it wasn't cancelled due to "engineering works"

Hello! Just made it through the backlog after a reasonably uneventful coach journey back from London.
I had a brilliant time at the meet, and like Titania, no hangover!!
So happy to have won a t-shirt for my badge! Must check out the photos........
Amy - Tell me what you thought of Mulholland Drive. It was on for one night at Pictureville in Bradford, but I couldn't go. Hopefully it'll be on again. I always enjoy David Lynch's films.

Thanks for the complement Loony. I bought that bottle on a whim really, I thought I would try to product of GodZone and I found it not lacking in any way. I must say to any of you lot who enjoy a good vino now and again, I whole heartedly give my seal of approval and reccomendation to that vintage.
Key: Complain about this post
